Cuckfield Golf Centre Golf Course

Cuckfield Golf Centre is a unique 9 hole pay and play golf course. Recently under new ownership! Paul, Hazel and Niki Smyth would like to send a very warm welcome to all our members and visitors here at Cuckfield Golf Centre. We had a vision when taking over this fantastic golf course in December 2018 to create a special place where golf is available for everyone to enjoy, young or old, beginner or winner and the welcome is warm to golfers and non golfers alike. Set in the stunning Sussex Countryside, on the outskirts of Cuckfield Village. Not a golfer? Pop along and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat at 'Room with a View'

I joined this club a few months ago and straight away felt welcome. Recently I thoroughly enjoyed a superb Christmas lunch prepared by Tats & team. The quality of the food was great and to cater for 47 in the sitting must have been a challenge. At other times there is always fabulous cakes on offer quality coffees and light snacks. Would recommend popping in to try something and take in the views.

A very interesting place to visit in the centre of the village with very knowledgeable volunteers with different exhibitions throughout the year.

Ockenden Manor Spa

A harmonious blend of modern design and nature's inspiration. Nestling in the warm green of the West Sussex countryside, Ockenden Manor Spa has been designed to create a haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Purpose-built inside a 19th century walled garden, the contemporary airy structure contrasts and complements its neighbor, the Elizabethan Ockenden Manor, and shares it nine acres of parklands and gardens. Within our modern and sophisticated Spa are a host of superb luxury facilities where you can indulge in some well-earned pampering in one of the eight beautifully appointed treatment rooms, unwind in the heated indoor swimming pool with swim-through to the outdoor pool or workout in the air conditioned, state-of-the-art fitness suite and fitness studio.

Wife treated us to a day at the spa, including lunch at the hotel, along with a treatment. I believe they do offers for midweek and though I don't know the cost (was a gift) she said it was very reasonable. Lunch was lovely. Nice room, beautiful decor though could have done with some gentle background music. Food was delicious and probably just the right amount for a pre-spa lunch (I wasn't full - just sated). The spa is in a separate modern building that has a beautiful aspect looking out across the surrounding countryside and with some views of the South Downs. The highlight of the spa for me is the outside Jacuzzi, which has wonderful views, and is toasty hot. The spa has a decent pool with both inside and outside sections, along with an indoor Jacuzzi, a 'rain forest' walk (which is a bit gimmicky in my opinion, and consists of nothing more than some light 'rain' sprayed on you as you walk through a shower), as well as a great steam room, and sauna. The real highlight for me however was the massage treatment. Wow. I had a 60min full body that blended thai, oil, and swedish techniques. The masseuse was a young, tiny(!) girl named Georgia, and I am well over 6ft. I thought she'd struggle to get enough pressure in the massage but I was wrong. Her technique was amazing and I felt so blissed at the end of the treatment I was on Cloud 9 for ages. I would go back to the spa for the massage alone. Amazing. All in all a fabulous time and if you're looking for a day spa break as a gift or treat I would definitely recommend this place. Ask for Georgia for your massage too!
