The Royal Perth Yacht Club is one of the oldest yacht clubs in Western Australia (WA).Royal Perth is also one of only two yacht clubs on the Swan River to have been granted a royal charter. The yacht club is in Crawley, on Pelican Point. The clubrooms are well-appointed, they are often used for functions and weddings; I have been there several times, they have gone well. Royal Perth is right on the river, parking is usually available. The yacht club caters for all levels of sailors, from novices to big ocean-going racing yachts. By the way, if you are interested in sailing, the maxi yachts are often looking for crew. Royal Perth has a friendly rivarly with Royal Freshwater Bay, known as "Freshie."
