Windpassenger

Fly without wings At Windpassenger we love what we do. How many people can say they spend the day roaming the sky? Is it your dream to Fly on a Balloon? That is our Specialty! Since 1987 we have experience flying over Portugal, the Azores, Madeira, Netherlands, Spain, France, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Angola. We created the Windpassenger brand to be able to share this incredible feeling of climbing at altitude on board a hot air balloon. We are a company with our head in the clouds and feet firmly on the ground, because we like to go higher and provide the best moments of leisure and fun. Since 2004 we have already flown more than 20,000 people with our team of experienced pilots, who are willing and highly skilled. We are a Portuguese company dedicated exclusively to passenger transport in hot air balloons, with all EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) certificates, insurance and licenses and inspected annually by a CAMO company (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization). All this to assure maximum quality and safety, right from the beginning. Choose your destination Windpassenger is able to fly across the country. Our main takeoff points include: - Coruche/Ribatejo (Windpassenger headquarters) - Lisbon/Tagus Valley - Setubal/Troia - Montemor-o-velho/center - Porto/north - Alentejo - Algarve Hold on. We are ready to take off!

We just flew with Windpassenger. We had to drive for one hour and a half to get to the meeting point at 5h45am. Bonkers, right? Wrong. Totally worth it. Of course you can always choose to spend the night near the meeting point. And if you ever took a balloon flight during the Summer you most likely had to get up before dawn too.
As for the flight, it was a group flight and although there were plenty of people it was rather nice and confy. We got to fly with Guido, the nicest of hosts, very professional yet very casual and friendly. Truly a great experience.
