it is maintained by bhilai steel plant and situated in one of the best place of Bhilai which we have said CC (civic center). small garden also exist near by it.

Kartik Purnima is an occasion, when you should visit Jagannath Temple and seek blessings of the Lord! Kirtan goes on for 24 hours! It was started at about 9 AM on the Kartik Purnima day. Continuous chanting of 'Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare; Hare Krushna, Hare Krushna, Krushna, Krushna, Hare Hare' goes on for twenty four hours. People change. But the chanting goes on non-stop. Prasada in the form of lunch/ dinner is offered to devotees visiting the temple!
We had visited the temple in the morning and participated in the Kirtan at the beginning of the Asta Prahari as it is called!

Nehru Art Gallery displays paintings mostly of local artists. Normally, it is open from 14th to the end of the month. But, It was being kept open from 14-11 to 10-01 when Baal Kala Usthav was being celebrated. So, when my brother-in-law and his family came to Bhilai, we took them to this Gallery. Unfortunately, it was closed. Probably, the Children's Festival is no more being held. However, the very fact that a gallery is dedicated to local artists drew their appreciation.
