We enjoyed visiting this museum as we are native Texans and always like to see artifacts from the area and how it is presented. We liked the La Belle exhibit too since we had seen the construction of the ship going on in the Bob Bullock museum in Austin.
We did not visit the Children's Museum downstairs since we didn't have children with us. I would recommend when you are in the area that you stop in for an hour or two for a visit.

My family and I truly enjoyed visiting the birding center. The staff there was very polite and very knowledgeable about the area the animals there.

12 Strings is a full liquor bar that caters to Texas Music. We usually have live music a couple of times each week. There is sometimes a cover charge depending on the musical act that is scheduled. We also have pool tables available and various sports showing on several televisions.

From old doors to antique Americana, Vacek's Barn has got you covered. My sister in law bought an old record player, and another friend has purchased several doors for his classic remodeling needs. this is a nice place to bring the children but it tends to get a bot loud and needs more bowling lanes . has a nice well stocked bar and a half decent snack bar fills up quickly and I love the no smoking policy...MoreWe are glad that you enoyed your visit to Bowlera.
