The Ball's Falls Conservation Area is definitely worth a visit because of the natural beauty of the place and the history. First, a warning. Twenty Mile Creek, which flows through the area, dries up by early summer leaving very little water flowing over the falls. That being said, fall is a gorgeous time to visit with beautiful colours to be seen along the broad trails and dangling over the gorge. Entrance fee is $8 a person and includes parking. A number of buildings on the grounds have been reconstructed including the grist mill and there are many information boards. One can also see the ruins of the original mill near the upper falls. You only need an hour or two to thoroughly take in all of the sights and it is very close to Jordan and Niagara Wine Country.

Stopped by here to see Lake Ontario on our way from Toronto to Niagara. Very easy to get to off of the highway and park has a nice big facilities building and view of the lake. We were only there for a little less than an hour, but it would be a very nice place to spend time. They had a poster saying there were concerts on Tuesdays, which they were setting up for while we were there.

We went today and was pleasantly surprised that pick your own cherry season just started!! There were sooo many cherries on the trees and they were very sweet with small pits. It was great to see families enjoying themselves in the orchard, and there were so many trees that were perfect height for kids and adults. Wonderful friendly staff and I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

What a great find! The peaches are sweet and juicy and the peach crumble pie is super. Call first to make sure they have peaches available and if they suggest holding them for you, say yes. Or they could be sold out. Haven’t tried the nectarines yet but no doubt they will be delicious too. Will be going back for sure.
