I drove thru Goomalling on my way to Dowerin and was very impressed by the cleanliness of the place. The Tavern is a big 2 storey building looks recently renovated, I could not handle a Wednesday lunchtime beer so did not venture inside, the wheat silos are 4 big dome shaped affairs, looking very different to the norm. The usual shops, beauty salons, CRC, agriculture/hardware shops, a very long Main Street with lots of historical sculptures and interpretive places. Definitely worth a stop and walk around

Historic precinct dating back to the 1850’s. B&B Tearoom Boutique Function Centre Open by appointment during the summer months. Open weekends from 10 to 4 from April to November.

Wonderfully restored and furnished original first settler homestead in a rural setting. Very friendly and enthusiastic volunteers with a wealth of knowledge, delicious Devonshire tea served in the historic tea rooms. A very worthwhile visit especially as no coffee shop open in Goomalling on the weekend.
