Went on this tour last October, and had a wonderful experience! Silvia was our guide and she was so amazingly sweet and thoughtful. We travelled with a french couple and she literally explained everything in two languages: French and English. Not only is that extremely nice, I can only imagine the energy that takes :) The whole experience of driving through Douro, the wines, the people we spoke to and the delicious wines we could taste: would definitely recommend. 5. Meditative Walk through the Douro Village and Lunch at the Quinta
I start by asking you, do you really want to feel the Douro and live a Genuine and Authentic experience? If so, you have found the right place ... I will invite you to start a quiet and full of walking (aromatic plants, vineyards, olive trees, flowers) along the paths and vineyards of a village with very traditional Douro people. Here you just have to enjoy all nature, panoramic views, mountains, birds, and many more that your soul and body will surely feel. The walk is about 5km, easy, almost always downhill. And since after these kilometers we will need to replenish energy, nothing better than a very typical lunch, with very homemade food, where many of the foods used in the preparation of this meal comes directly from the Thursday where will be lunch.
