There is a refreshing 1.4 mile trail around the lake and through the forest..very doable for most ages. Went with my retired parents today. It is mostly flat with gravel and a few small hills. Near the parking was a nice grassy area with a playground that parents with little ones would surely enjoy. We would definitely like to come back again on a sunny day.

Besides the $5 entry the area is great! a nice little hike going down to the river and it is very pretty, there are a lot of spots to jump into the river and you can bring dogs! make sure you go at a warm time because the water can be very cold
