This is a beautiful place, with an amazing geological history. Our guide, Eleanor, was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and in the 1+ hr walking tour of the river she told the fascinating story of how this land was created over the course of 550 million years and how the river came to be. The Centre has a wonderful interpretive display of the river, with rocks from various stretches and incredible fossils that were found right here. I would love to come back and see the river during different seasons.

We had a great tour and guide given by a lady born and raised on the island. She knew her stuff and had a friendly personality. The upstairs is stage as it was back in the full fishery mode. I learned a great deal here about the resettlement process and the establishment of the Coop.
