Hayfield Equestrian Centre

Perfectly situated within the beautiful grounds of Hazlehead Park, Hayfield provides pleasure riding and lessons for riders of all standards from the age of 3. The club caters for everyone, from your first horse riding experience to competiton level training.

Learned to ride at Hayfield around 7 years ago with my daughter and have continued to train and hack there ever since. There are no airs and graces at Hayfield and the vibe is nicely laid back. The instructors are very knowledgeable and great at developing riders abilities in small incremental steps, week by week. Private lessons are great value and helped us in the first year to progress onto more advanced classes sooner than we could have otherwise done. Hacking can be great fun with levels for all abilities and is also great value for money. Hazelhead and the surrounding area can get busy with walkers so the more adventurous riders may feel a bit constrained. But riders that like a safe walk, trot and canter through the forest will love the hacks. The horses at Hayfield are awesome and everyone has their favourites. There are horses to suit all abilities/sizes and there are some real personalities. I have been hooked on horse-riding since my first lesson at Hayfield and seldom have a week without my fix. Simply awesome ????????????

Peacock Visual Arts

Since 1974, Peacock Visual Arts has supported thousands of artists in the production of artworks, ranging from prints to video works, photography, performance and site-specific public installations. At its core lies the idea of the multiple, work that can be reproduced in a variety of formats, analogue and digital, reconfiguring the relationship between the artist, the artwork and the audience, which can be outlined simply as – making, learning and showing. Our organisation is supported by Aberdeen City Council and Creative Scotland. Peacock’s role in the city of Aberdeen, through its printmaking department, digital studio and gallery/project space The W OR M has been to activate spaces where artists and the citizens, prompted by artworks, congregate around ideas and practices that interrupt everyday routines. Our making facilities include a digital fabrication studio, screen printing studio and relief printing studio.
