Situated in the outskirts of the booming town of Solwezi, along the Old Chingola Road, The Royal Solwezi Hotel is the only full service hotel in the North West Province. It is just 10km from First Quantum’s Kansanshi Mine, 60km from the Equinox Mineral’s Lumwana Copper Project, and about 15 minutes drive from the airport. Accommodation comprises 48 rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, queen size beds, private balconies, air conditioning, electronic safes, 15 satellite TV (DSTV) channels (including ZNBC), tea and coffee making facilities, telephones and wireless internet connection. Conference facilities comprise 2 conference rooms - one seating 15-20 delegates and the other able to hold up to 250 delegates, with standard equipment available. Wining and Dining facilities include a restaurant, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner (buffet and à la carte menu), and a bar which is open from 10h00 until 23h00 daily. There is also a Sports Bar to cater for the requirements associated with major sporting events. Other hotel facilities/amenities include wireless internet access available throughout the hotel, a Business Centre, laundry service, room service, secure open parking and a swimming pool. Transfers to and from the airport are available on request.

Reviewed By pragati9This was our 2nd visit to Royal Solwezi with the intention of having lunch.We wanted to order pizza but there was no power and they didn't want to start the generator. Later they did switch on the generator but we had already ordered.The boys ordered white chicken pasta and chicken snitzel.We ordered vegetables pasta which is not on menu but was provided on request.The food was delicious though the pasta used wasn't great.We ordered icecream with fruits as dessert and enjoyed sharing it. Although we enjoyed our brief stop here but wish there were more food choices, specially vegetarian, to choose.

Kansanshi Hotel is an eco-friendly, thatched hotel located in Savannah forest on the edge of Solwezi, north-western Zambia, offering guests a friendly African experience and panoramic views. The Lappa (main building) is ideal for all kinds of functions - from workshops, meetings and conferences to weddings and parties. Measuring 40 by 20 meters, it is the largest timber structure in Southern Africa. We have a separate swimming and bar/conference room ideal for weddings and meetings. Full international and Indian menus available. Room service and laundry available on demand. All rooms have DSTV (satellite TV), Internet, tea making facilities, fridges and aircons.
Great hotel with impressive central area relaxing gardens and traditional thatched style
Reviewed By rogermur29Stayed one night on business trip travelling west across the Copperbelt. Imposing and impressive huge thatched central hotel area with detached thatched rooms in the extensive gardens. Very friendly and helpful staff and management. It was a relaxing stop after a long drive, helped by the greenery of the gardens. The rooms in the gardens were comfortable. Both the shower and the wifi worked fine, which for many hotels isn't always the case.

Reviewed By bupeb2022The rooms are so clean, very spacious eating place with almost any meal you wish the chefs will bring it to actuality. Well stocked bar, great lighting in the bar...plenty space outside the bar. Plenty spacious insakas with enough seats...but in the mornings do not wear flora perfumes as this invites bees. So ever green surroundings.

Such a lovely place to stay
Reviewed By godsquad58We so enjoyed our 3 night stay at Mutanda. Lesley and the team were very welcoming and helpful in meeting our requests. The room had a very comfortable bed and although basic, everything worked! We loved the peaceful atmosphere, grounds, river Rapids and Impala! The breakfast was good too. I would highly recommend a stay here.

The Lodge is located first turn to the left just after solwezi general hospital, about 900meters from the hospital. It is 8km from Solwezi airport, 4km from town centre, 2.5km from Choppies supermarket and 4 km from kansanshi mine.
