Guesthouse Prince offers a nice and inexpensive place to stay for professional reasons or maybe for relaxing holidays or for a weekend trip. The hotel is located in Bechen in Bergisches Land near Cologne, Leverkusen and Düsseldorf. It has 7 double rooms, 2 triple rooms and a 35 sqm room with for beds for families. All rooms have boxspring beds, private bathrooms, private balconies and modern TVs. Free Wi-Fi are of course. The guests can have breakfast in a fully equipped communal kitchen or go to the bakery 50 meters away. Nearby there are shopping possibilities and different restaurants. A 105 sqm apartment, fully equipped and newly renovated, offers 6 sleeping possibilities.

Reviewed By peterKleenDo not be put off by the outside appearance this has well appointed and large rooms. In our party was a couple, a couple with 2 children and a couple with 4 children. The couple with 4 children had the apartment - this is well appointed with everything that you would need for a stay (washing machine and dryer, dish washer and all the normal items you would expect). The couple with 2 children has the 4 bedroom room in which they placed a cot. The rooms are big and all 8 adults and 8 children used to meet up in the apartment - there was plenty of room. Although there is no restaurant on site. There is a general kitchen and a bakers at the top of the road that supplies hot and cold breakfasts there is also a Greek Taverna opposite which is reasonably priced and does a variety of dishes not all Greek. We travel to this area of Germany two or three times a year and for families this is ideal we will be back!

Reviewed By trottersbugThe place has been built probably in the 60s and not been renovated a long time ago, and at that time probably starting with a little budget, and not targeting quality hostelling. Not only one can not be sure whether the neighbor is an elephant and drives a loud sport car, or more probably whether he is a metalworker starting the truck at four in the morning, and most probably in both cases the walls are too thin and the doors with old school interstices. It will be too much to tell it is spotless clean, alone the shower attests of a low quality convention. If you once use the soap to scratch the floor, you will eventually discover that a former client was a smoker. Coming to the hotel, this is not the only place to stay, may look as a budget hostel, but the price/quality ratio could well be 30 percent worse. In fact, while searching a bit, it is possible to find by connection or relatives of a host family a good 50 percent less, on basis of a longer journey, or by comparing the quality rather than the market presence. In this context, one shall not claim, that there may be a lack of professionalism, every employee is starting with little experience, and have to cope with the mistakes of the hotel manager. In fact, one shall not forget, that the company has no less than 5 businesses and 80 hotel room, and represent one of the biggest turnover in the village. The vicinity invites to take holiday, rather suitable for a wealthy family rather than globetrotter though. Located at country side between two airport and a diversion of highways for motorbikes, the place is seldom said to be quite during public holidays and sunny days at summer time. I arrived there for work, and stay there for a longer time of the project. Because it is located in the vicinity of little industrial center, the connections at daytime and during the week are not worse than in Cologne. Be prepared to travel a longer time through villages on Wipperfürther or Kölner Strasse, not convenient for commuting however. It strongly looks like the domitory of Cologne/Dusseldorf but still local people maintain a good living style, Kürten having a golf... possibly a nice place to live, but not for a urban rat.

Reviewed By Manna MMit herzlicher Gastfreundschaft sind wir im Dürscheider Hof aufgenommen worden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Dem historischen Haus entsprechend mag die Schalldämmung nicht allen modernen Standards genügen, die Fenster zur (leider stark befahrenen) Straße sind aber sehr schalldicht! Das Frühstück war wirklich lecker, das Abendessen im Restaurant konnte da nicht mithalten. Aber auch dort haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und deswegen gern darüber hinweggesehen, dass es sich nicht um ein kulinarisches Highlight gehandelt hat. Der Dürscheider Hof ist mit seiner außerordentlich herzlichen Gastfreundschaft und angemessenen Preisen auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung!

Schönes Haus mit gemütlichem Hofgarten
Reviewed By a_s_schmidtEher zufällig hatte es mich hierher verschlagen und ich wurde sehr angenehm überrascht. Schön eingerichtete Doppelzimmer, gutes Essen (u.a. Flammekuchen mit Pfifferlingen) und liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück im Freien, sehr freundlicher Service von Herrn Schmidt am Abend und von Frau Kulisch am Morgen. Respekt und Dankeschön!
