We rented bicycles from Peter to explore Block Island during our honeymoon. Since we rented after 5pm, the next day was free! We had the bicycles for over 24 hours for $40 each. Peter equipped us with a lock and a helmet (both included in the rental). We both got bikes with collapsable baskets (also included in our rental!) If you are interested in exploring Block Island by bicycle, rent from Beach Rose!

Island Moped and Bikes

Reviewed By MaJbean

We rented bikes and mopeds, and had a great experience. Our teenagers went out on bikes and loved exploring the Island. Our older teen (aged 19) wanted to rent a moped but had never driven one, and we were nervous. They spent a full 15 minutes or more teaching her and having her practice up and down a little strip of road until she felt comfortable and stable. (So thankful they don't just put you on the moped and send you on your way, that was my experience renting mopeds in other parts of the world). I also rented a moped and drove my 80 yr old mother all over the Island, she was scared at first but then she loved it!). The Island overall is primarily travelled by bikes and mopeds, so the vehicles in general seem to be careful and take it easy. This was our best day of our entire Rhode Island trip and definitely the whole group fell in love with Block Island. Teenagers and grandmothers can be hard to please and they were all thrilled. A win for the sandwich generation!
