5 Food & Drink in Vail That You Shouldn't Miss

February 23, 2022 Agatha Simes

North America's biggest and most popular ski resort, Vail is an alpine village in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Long a favorite of serious skiers and jet setting celebrities, Vail now also draws a younger, hipper snowboarding crowd. Skiing is king at Vail Mountain and the Blue Sky Basin, but the area's vast splendor is perfect for hiking, biking, snowmobiling or scenery-gazing at any time of the year.

Ryan the co-founder!! Great people!!! After walking in at 10 AM - yes I had no idea they existing and I was looking at mountain bikes while wife was shopping - they greeted me with a genuine hello and we talked about bourbon, their company and small businesses and the Vail community. I truly thought he was a genuine person and I loved his "put it on the table" attitude when it came to their bourbon - "you cannot speak about us good or bad unless you've tasted it" he said. Cannot argue with logic so I had a small taste (half pour at best) and I told him right then I'd buy his product (and I did). taking it home to AZ to share with my peeps and I was happy to personally introduce him to a close friend of mine that is the president of a customer home builder there... who knew the place and whiskey (he likes their rye) but never met Ryan... they have already traded emails and contact info and my buddy planning a visit very soon. Go visit their website and they have some pics there as well - wish I had met then the day before and been able to partake in their whiskey and bourbon tasting... mmmmm

Great service by lindsey....fast, friendly and attentive. Cozy fireplace and a laid back relaxed seating. 12 beers on tap (beer only, no wine or liquor), with a variety of styles. The gose was pretty good as were the 2 double ipas and my wife liked the seltzer (she is a wine drinker normally). They had cans and a special bottle to go as well as the tap room offerings. Plenty of parking and we would certainly go back when We return to vail.

We hit the Farmer's Market and Art Show on Sunday and found a great variety of food and arts and crafts. We had come for produce, not expecting to find much but there were four vendors and we got tomatoes, onions, peaches and a cucumber. One of them was making a delicious smelling paella but it wasn't going to be ready for another half hour so we couldn't wait. There was a honey vendor, a cinnamon almond and pecan roaster (we bought!), artisan cheese, whiskey and vodka samples, jewelry, art and more. It was well spread out so we didn't feel too crowded and we got lots of steps in. If we'd stuck around longer we would have had lunch from one of the many vendors, but the backpack was heavy so we left.
