We visited here today and were warmly welcomed by Charlotte, who despite being busy preparing for the vendange, gave us her time and her passion for their family business. The chai was a magical space, oozing the aroma of the barrelled wine, and she was able to explain between french and english the combination of family expertise, and love, the grapes, terroir, oak, time and le part des anges which create their beautiful wines. Strongly recommend this Chateau Baudan as a visit to vignerons en famille who have not become industrialised, keeping the magic of their work alive by hand. We tasted and of course bought some wine, some to lay down and some to drink. A real pleasure to support a family business - Visit this and put your feet in the deep history of the Médoc.

Chateau Lestage is one of the family estate of the Chanfreau Family for more than 50 years. Its vineyard counts 42 hectares on Listrac-Medoc appellation and 9 hectares on Moulis-en-Medoc appellation. The Chateau Fourcas Hosten is located in the heart of Listrac-Medoc. The eighteenth-century country manor house overhangs a splendid park. The estate was rewarded several times in the Best Of Wine Tourism Competition. In 2014, in the “Architecture & Landscapes” category. Gold prizewinner in the 2017 “Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices” category. To discover absolutely! Open from Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 pm / 2:00-5:00 pm (last departure 4:00 pm). Annual closures: public holidays, from 4th to 19th August 2018, and from 22nd December 2018 to 1st of January 2019. Guided tours & wine tastings by appointment. Fee: 8 € to 20€ / adult – free for children. Group rate for a minimum of 20 visitors. Direct sales.

The owners of Chateau Fourcas Hosten have renovated the vineyard and winery to a very high standard. The staff are very proud to work for a forward thinking winery that is producing new white wines and using sustainable and eco-friendly methods.
