5 Classes & Workshops in Parione That You Shouldn't Miss

February 8, 2022 Tynisha Seiler

Rome wasn't built in a day--and you'll need much more than a day to take in this timeless city. The city is a real-life collage of piazzas, open-air markets, and astonishing historic sites. Toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain, contemplate the Colosseum and the Pantheon, and sample a perfect espresso or gelato before spending an afternoon shopping at the Campo de’Fiori or Via Veneto. Enjoy some of the most memorable meals of your life here, too, from fresh pasta to succulent fried artichokes or a tender oxtail stew.

Eat and Walk Italy

Eat and Walk Italy is an agency that provides cooking classes for tourists in Rome and Naples. The idea has its roots in the passion for Italian food, then combining it with classes to learn its art and tours through the streets of the city, tasting specialties. Our group shares the passion for Italian cuisine and we want to try to make it accessible to everyone. All our classes are held in central locations, near Piazza Navona or Spanish Steps in Rome and near Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples.

My family signed up for the Pizza and Gelato class - it was so amazing, informative and fun that it made our trip - Chef Filippo was incredible and made the experience so amazing that we cancelled our tour of Firenze the next day and signed up for the Market 4 course Meal class especially because Chef Filippo taught it - we met at the marketplace with 2 other couples we had never met before and decided on our meals for the day - Filippo guided us through this incredible Roman market and to his selected butcher shops to gather our provisions, after which we went to the classroom/kitchen where we all had a hand in preparing our appetizer, entree, salad and dessert - handmaking pasta, eggplant parmigiana, gelato and enjoying it with our new best friends - an unforgettable experience and the finest meals we had - Bravo Chef Filippo! Grazie!!
