Banff and Jasper national parks are connected by the Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic drives in the world. The towns of Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper are hubs for adventures including hiking, horseback riding, rafting and wildlife viewing. Accommodation ranges from hotels to mountain lodges.

Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Rockies Parish

We are a Roman Catholic parish in the process of building a new church. Presently we are meeting for weekend masses in the gym of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy at 3100A Stewart Creek Drive. Saturday evenings at 7:00 pm and Sunday mornings at 10:00 am.

Such a nice little Catholic Church and mass is always uplifting and enjoyable ????????????. The new location is quite far away which is unfortunate.

St Mary's of the Assumption

Thrilled to wander across St Mary’s, we attended early on Sunday and I was able to have confession. Mass began at 0900 and confession began at 0815. It was a sell-out! The church was packed. We enjoyed the priest and his homily. They allow little children to attend the beginning of mass with the congregation then go off with Sunday school teachers. We enjoyed our morning at St. Mary’s!

On the main street in Banff, this lovely church which appears to be built in mock tudor style. The steeple, a translucent green, appears to be made of ice. Great photo opportunity.
