NASA GSFC Visitor Center

A great rainy-day attraction near Wallops Island, the center conducts launches of its model rockets.

We were headed north from DC to Baltimore and noticed this was on the way and decided to stop. We were glad we did, as it’s a nice visitor center with super friendly staff. It’s not very big but is free and has some great displays. I wish they would let you visit more of Goddard than just the visitor center.

We love space stuff. The visitor's center here is pretty small, and you could see everything in less than an hour, but it is very interesting. Small gift shop, no food.
