A day trip tour from Kiev costs around U$115,00 with lunch and personal dosimeter included, it departs usually at 8:00 AM and comes back to Kiev around 5:00 - 07:00 PM. Even on a day trip it´s sure to visit the amusement park with the iconic ferris wheel, Chernobyl village, Pripiat buildings including the swimming pool, enter the kindergarten, Get close to reactor 4, Duga radar and other places according the guide and group plans. It´s well worth your time and money. Try to avoid hot months which in Ukraine is june to august because no matter the temperature we have to wear clothes to cover all body, arms and legs. I went there in October and the weather was very pleasant.

This place is about a 30 minute drive north of the city. It was essentially a private residence built for a corrupt president with stolen funds. The place is truly remarkable. It is also a gorgeous place to visit. We also hired the electric cart service to get a ride around the massive complex.
