Valiant effort from the Diamond team! Enjoyed a 5 day stay - great for family beach getaway. Enough to keep everyone busy for at least 7 days. Certainly some room for improvement to get back to offering the 5 star experience the resort is renowned for but enough positives for a memorable stay. Pristine beach and great water sport offerings for the location. Perfect place to relax and unwind.

Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort

Great stay at Anantara Bazaruto resort

Reviewed By Marian V

We had a great stay at Bazaruto! The staff is very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The restaurant staff is professional and attentive (especially Albino). The food is nice with a lot of choice. During our stay we had multiple staff members a day, who knew our name, to inform if everything was OK. The rooms and premisis are beautiful and very clean. Even though the buildings in the resort are starting to become a bit outdated; but the quality of the food and staff make Bazaruto into a 5 star experience

andBeyond Benguerra Island

Rates from USD 795 per person per night. An exquisite piece of Indian Ocean paradise, Benguerra Island is a luxury beach holiday destination where time stands still. Situated off the coast of Mozambique within the protected marine reserve of the Bazaruto Archipelago National Park, this island hideaway is set on a protected lagoon. Warm waters, pristine coral reefs teeming with marine life, idyllic beaches, inland freshwater lakes and towering sand dunes have shaped this adventure haven. The lodge lies sheltered within the canopy of an indigenous forest and swaying palm trees. The welcoming guest areas offer views of the lush tropical garden and the ocean beyond. Under the shade of straw covered wooden awnings, inviting comfortable loungers are set up around the lodge’s rim flow swimming pool. A colourfully decorated traditional wooden dhow has been converted into a picturesque beach bar, while the cool surrounds of the massage sala hold the promise of deep relaxation. The lodge has a range of luxurious thatched accommodation. For families or small groups, the exclusive-use Casa Familia is an ideal option with three ensuite bedrooms, a large deck area and private pool overlooking the beach. Set amidst lush island forest, there are two cosy cabanas, ideal for couples or honeymooners, and the slightly larger 10 casinhas. Cabanas and casinhas all offer private timber decks, rim-flow pools, sun loungers and private salas with irresistible hanging daybeds.

Best Birthday Trip

Reviewed By GardenLeave83

I celebrated my birthday here with my girlfriend - the property and staff made it really special. We went scuba diving every day (thanks Lorenzo for this and the birthday guitar playing!). Abel, our butler, made sure we had everything we needed. The dhow bar was really fun and created a fun, social environment - we made several friends. If it wasn't so far from NYC we would go every year. Thank you!

Situ Island Resort

Ever wished to escape the rigors of life and disappear to a remote island where you can truly relax and unwind with just your friends or family around? Add to that the exquisite beauty of a nature reserve which boasts some of the best dives and fishing in the world, sumptuous meals made of local delights, and relaxing on a powdery white beach. All this just off the Mozambican coast. Welcome to Situ Island Resort. The most relaxing holiday destination to date. Situated in the most southern section of the spectacular Quirimbas National Park, Mozambique, Situ Island forms part of the Quirimbas Archipelago - 28 islands of which 11 are coral islands between the towns of Pemba in the south and Palma in the north. Described by guests as "breath-taking", "intimate", "secluded" and "wunderbar", Situ Island Resort is unique in that you can book the entire island exclusively for your friends and family, if you wish.

Understated paradise

This was our second trip to Situ, and we were so happy to find that it was every bit as special as it had been the first time, two years ago. What makes Situ stand out from other island lodges is the laid back and relaxed atmosphere of the lodge, the amazing attitude of staff and management towards their guests and the exceptional home style cooking, with delicious seafood dishes created from fresh, locally sourced produce. The fishing and diving in the area is amazing, and as good as one could expect anywhere in Mozambique. The lodge is small and personal, and you feel like you are in a comfortable family environment when you are there. The managers of Situ are Craig and Tessa, a welcoming couple, who bend over backwards for their guests. I have travelled to many coastal and island lodges in the Indian ocean and Situ remains in my top three.
