Williamson Orchard & Vineyard

Williamson Orchards and Vineyards is located along the Sunnyslope Wine Trail within the Snake River Valley AVA. The Williamson family has been growing fruit here for four generations. By relying on our long-history and knowledge of the region we designed our vineyard to maximize the terroir of our high dessert location with the goal of producing stunning wines from high quality grapes. A great deal of time and thought went into the planting of our vines. From vineyard layout to the selection of grape varieties we wanted to ensure that our site would produce superior grapes. Our forethought, planning and hard work has paid off. Our wines have won countless awards and are recognized across the region for quality. We now have over 50 acres in vineyards, 8 varieties and 14 award winning wines. Visit our tasting room to experience some of the great wine being produced in Idaho. Expect a welcoming atmosphere steeped in old-fashioned, farm-charm along with honest and knowledgeable service.

Our favorite winery, when visiting Caldwell area. First, they were the only winery that didn't charge us for a tasting, and therefore we bought several bottles of wine from them. We liked their wines and the young man (sorry - can't remember his name; but see attached picture) that attended to us was very friendly and knowledgeable about the company and their wines. I appreciated their concern regarding the Covid issue, in keeping us safe. Would highly recommend visiting this Winery. PS: Call ahead - reservations are recommended.

Ste. Chapelle Winery

AN IDAHO TRADITION Capturing the Unique Character of Every Vintage... Our goal at Ste. Chapelle is to capture the unique character of every vintage. Fine wine production in Idaho began in the 1860s, spurred by French and German immigrants. Indeed, the Pacific Northwest’s first wineries were in Idaho. In 1919, Prohibition shut down the state’s nationally renowned wine industry, but it was revived in the 1970s when wine grapes were again planted in southern Idaho’s Snake River Valley. The winery, founded in 1976, is open seven days a week. Experience the quality of Ste. Chapelle wines through wine tasting. For a $5 fee, our friendly and knowledgeable staff will guide you through a tasting of five wines. Tasting fee waived for our Friends of the Vineyard wine club members. Experience the Excitement of the Grape Crush... During fall harvest, visitors can experience the excitement of the grape crush in full swing. At other times, guides take guests through the cellars for an up-close tour of the processes of fermentation, aging and bottling. Beautiful, Elegant Facility & Award Winning Wines... Ste Chapelle Winery is a collage of fun, knowledgeable staff, award-winning wines and a beautiful, elegant facility. Our facility hosts weddings, corporate events, auctions, parties and meetings. Private Events - for additional information please complete our short "Request for More Event Information form" on our website, or contact our Hospitality Coordinator. The Ste. Chapelle Winery is the perfect getaway to host a memorable affair! Tours by appointment only, please call to make arrangements.

We made this a stop on our way to Boise; simply a perfect spot. The day was beautiful and we found the winery & tasting room both amazing. We ended up doing a red wine flight + glass of the spritzer. That turned out to be perfect since we were traveling. We were able to explore the indoor space, upstairs room, and outdoor patio. They took COVID seriously, the staff had face masks on. We were allowed to not wear a mask while drinking, and while outdoor. There was a large group outdoors, things seem to have returned to somewhat "normal". We can enjoy once again! The upstairs area had some beautiful stained glass, be sure to check them out. We thought the Chateau Ste. Michelle cabernet sauvignon was pretty nice. Can't believe it was only $10 per bottle!!

I can start saying that I had the best time of my trip over here. Judging by the pictures online I wasn't sure what to expect, but when they responded to my email right way to confirm my reservation I knew this was the right place. The venue is beautiful, super artistic, the vibe is bohemian, almost hipster, one of those places you can be yourself and hangout for hours. When I walked in the guys were incredibly welcoming and kind, they put their heart on what they do and you can tell. I started my tastings with a surprise, a $16 bottle of white wine that will cost you 3 times more in Europe or even California. Moving to the reds the Merlot was my favorite and also my sommelier's, she explained this wine almost on a religious way, if you hear her talking it's like she was talking about her child, how wonderful is that. Honestly I'm not a Merlot fan but this made me second question myself. More wine and a great conversation fallowed and soon enough I felt at home, talking to the 3 guys working there like they were my childhood friends or my favorite coworkers, all of this magic with top quality wine, what else can you ask for. Thank you Michael, Izzy and my sommelier, that I can't remember her name, Latina girl. Can't wait to come back, I would totally recommend it.

You can sit inside or on the patio. Something is always going on on any weekend. Live local music and a food truck as well. Just a very enjoyable place to visit.

Owned by Peaceful Belly Farm, Vine and Branch Ranch is a unique place to visit either as destination or happenstance if you are driving about the Snake River wine and farm country. This all delightful venue is part eatery featuring delicious food using farm fresh ingredients, part tasting room for wines from neighboring Snake River Winery and hard ciders from Peaceful Belly owned Stack Rock Cidery and part small farm store selling fresh Peaceful Belly produce and McIntyre Farm proteins in the freezer there and also Peaceful Belly's hand crafted ice cream. Along with all that, you'll get to experience the simply "ahhh...some" ambiance of the hospitality / tasting room which is accessible to people of all abilities and ages. (Children are welcome too.) And there outdoor seating too on a patio near the entry with nice outlooks onto the farm. If you're like us, once you find this you'll want to go back again and again. If you're a traveler planning a visit to the Snake River wine region, you will want Vine and Branch Ranch on your radar. VIBE: Seems a perfectly designed space for sense of all are welcome. From the standard height tables and chairs you'll pass by on the exterior patio to those inside too - which work so well for people of all ages and abilities - with pots of flowers from the Peaceful Belly garden on each one, to the live edge window sills on big windows looking out across the view to the color combinations to the music mix. And I have to say finding the framed art on the Ladies' Room wall that was a cross-stitch of: "JOLENE, TAKE HIM PLEASE." told me the owner and I share the same sense of humor because it made me guffaw. (I even took a photo of that sign to show my hubby. Who had to have it wife'splained - and sung - to him before he chuckled. Slow he may be but with 40 years invested in him, I'll keep him.) BEVERAGE TASTING DRILL: The tasting room offers a chance to select several Snake River Winery wines and/or Stack Rock hard ciders (six?) for a small fee ($5?). They also sell wine by the glass ($5 - $7) or bottle ($18 - $31 ) The hard cider is $4 glass / $8 bottle. You can stand at the bar for tasting, or they'll pour for you at the tables. For our tasting cards, we each chose different wines to sample about a dozen in total and we left with bottles of the Reserve Bordeaux, Barbera and the sparkler Pet-Nat. We also picked up some bottles of Stack Rock's habanero spiced hard cider. FOOD & DINING: The menu here - small plates format and with offerings ranging from about $6 to $14 - changes all the time, with the seasons and what is available from the farm, and the food is delicious. (A tip you're in for great eats might be offered when you see the Chef's cook book shelf that contains titles like "Six Seasons" and "Plenty".) Take a seat at one of the tables, you order there from the menu and food is delivered to you. We visited on a warm day with a cooler in the back of the car so we could order more than we knew we could eat and be able to have them pack up the leftovers for us to take home. All of our choices were wonderful with favorites being deconstructed chile rellenos with poblanos, fresh corn spoon bread and tomatillo salsa and also the roasted hatch chiles and greens dish inside local baker's Acme bread loaf. FARM STORE: We buy Peaceful Belly products at the Boise CoOp grocer and so it was fun to be able to shop for them here too at the small farm store at the back of the building. Make sure to take a look when you visit. PARKING: Enter at the driveway and proceed to gravel lot at the downside of the building. ACCESSIBILITY: Accessible (aka ADA) parking of two stalls on paved surface at entry at the top of driveway. Clear path of travel into the building on firm surface with public spaces all on one floor. Tables are standard height and seemed usable by people in wheelchairs. Lots of clear floor space. Bathrooms are accessible. I have had multiple sclerosis since my college days and so I notice good accessibility - as here. HOURS: Closed on Mon / Tue. Hours seem to change seasonally but in general Noon - 6p. Sometimes they are closed for events or close early for the same reason, so it doesn't hurt to call in advance if this is destination visit for you. FARM DINNERS: Periodically the Peaceful Belly folks host wine and farm dinners - maybe 3 times a year. They are spendy - (like over $120 / per) - but special if you're a big fan of supporting local farmers and producers as my husband and I are. Sadly, held on surfaces that are not accessible and so they exclude people with mobility limitations which includes me.

the view is beautiful , the people are friendly, the wine is great and now they even have neat food blocks that are great for pairing with the wine. Have taken a wine hike with them and loved that as well. You get to taste the grapes off the vine and then have a taste of the wine it makes. So educational and fun to hike through the vineyard and then a fabulous catered lunch. One of my favorite places to take people
