Visited Saturday evening, watched the gorgeous sunset fall over the patio that’s situated perfectly to see the amber glow fall across the vineyard. Wonderful setting, beautiful architecture comfortable feel when your inside. Sat along the wrap around bar and had the wines produced from the 3 Texans vineyard, all of which were superb. The owners are hands on, serving and suppling information on the differences in the wines. Made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Definitely a great place to go check out, well worth the short drive off I-35 when your in the Temple area. Will definitely be making more trips to visit.

Becker Vineyards is a beautiful place and I find their red wines most delightful. If you go, and you should, take the wine tasting. 7 different wines for $20.00 and the pours are generous.

We were renting a vacation home in Lago Vista for a family 50th birthday celebration. We had read good reviews of the winery and decided to enjoy a night off the lake for dinner. We were so glad we made the drive to the beautiful winery. The table was set up nicely for our family of 10 and the menu had many great options to suit our family with dietary restrictions. The birthday girl even got a personalized bottle of wine. The owners were very friendly and accommodating!

Excellent vineyard to visit if you’re looking for a tour, insight to the production / supply chain, great ambiance, and a great wine testing experience. As a Napa / Sonoma veteran, this is as close as it’ll get to that within the “TX wine country.” Staff was extremely friendly and did not overly pressure to join the wine club. Wine quality was also superior to other local vineyards. Likely to return and recommend to others.

During a short stay in Lubbock, my wife and I visited the McPherson Cellars Winery for a wine tasting. Tasted 6 different varieties and all were very good. Returned the next day with two of our adult daughters and tasted 4 additional wines. Once again very pleased. Very friendly staff at their facility on Texas Street in Lubbock. If ever in the Lubbock again, we will pay them another visit.

Messina Hof Winery

Founded on the cornerstones of family, tradition and romance, Messina Hof Winery & Resort has held its place as a Brazos Valley staple since its founding in 1977. It is the estate winery where the Messina Hof winemaking team crafts our world-class wines. Messina Hof had humble beginnings as founders, Paul Vincent and Merrill Bonarrigo ran the lab, tastings, etc right out of their living room. Our current Tasting Room, also known as the Guest Center, was the rebuilt home that wa originally the Ursuline Academy, which was an all girls school. The original brick from the home was used to build the Tasting Room that guests can still see today.
