Important: visits and tastings are only by booking in advance. The Pupillo Farm, founded in 1908, occupies a large part of the land which once constituted the fief of Targia, famous not only for the medieval Solacium castle but also for the fertile soils which give a unique taste and scent to a variety of products: wines, olive oil, fruits and vegetables. The courtyard in front of the castle, the cozy and elegant interior court, the old millstone and the historic garden can be visited in conjunction with a wine tasting.
We really enjoyed our visit here. Sebastiano was friendly and very informative. He gave us a very interesting talk about the history of the castle and gardens, before the tasting of 3 wines with pairings of food for each one. We arranged the visit ourselves and had taxi there and back from Siracusa for 50 euros . All in all good value and enjoyable tour.

Visit Of The Wine-factory. Explanation Of The Winemaking Process. Conventional And Biological Wine Tastings With Sicilian Typical Products. Wonderful Location With Views On Scicli From The High.
Attended a wine tasting here this evening. Short tour of a small wine making plant then sat in their beautiful terrace for a wonderful dinner accompanied by 6 different wines all of which were delicious. We’ve left with 9 litres of wine! The whole experience was an absolute bargain at €18 per head. Best night of our trip so far. Definitely worth travelling to if you’re in Sicily

Feudo Ramaddini lies at the very herat of the vineyards between Not, the home of renowned wines, such as Moscato and Nero d'Avola, and the countryside around Pachino, a land of centuries-old vineyards and knowledge acquired over the ages within the walls of of ancient wine-presses. In the Feudo Ramaddini vinyards, wich slope gently down from the high land around Noto to the sea at Marzamemi, the fertile somewhat calcareous soil, the mild climate and, above all, the unbeatable quality of the sunlight are of the utmost importance. The Feudo Ramaddini winery follows the great wine-making tradition in the south-east of Sicily. An example of architectural r-use. it is located in an old wine warehouse in contrada Lettiera, just outside Marzamemi. A picturesque place from wher the wine is still transported to the small port of Marzamemi.

We did the Tour of Sicily wine tasting at 35 euros per person. We tasted 5 wines, sat outside in the vineyard. Food was also provided, small bites of bruscetta/crostini, tomatoes and olives. Everything was perfect. The host was very knowledgeable & friendly, and she explained the different wines and the vineyards (Planeta have several across Sicily). We then got to visit the cellar and explore the site/garden a bit more. We bought 2 bottles of wines from the shop - several varieties were available, starting from about 10 euros a bottle. Definite must do in Sicily if you are a wine lover!

Cantina Marilina is an organic wine-making company in the South East of Sicily, Noto. Founded in 2001, it is now run by the female face of the Paternó family: the two sisters Marilina and Federica, whose philosophy is based on an absolute respect for the land. Mediterranean climate with a very fortunate geographical location and calcareous soils are factors that enhance the quality of the grapes, along with a philosophy oriented reinterpretation of the traditional production methods: historic vineyards, concrete tanks, wilting in the sun.

Our history The passion for wine is able to unite distant people for culture and lifestyle, it is a universal language that uses the language of the senses. The wine is alive, it is becoming, it speaks of the identity of the place where it is produced, because every wine embodies all the knowledge passed down for centuries. It seems incredible but if you know "Listen " makes you perceive in a distinct way the scents and flavors of the land of origin, reveals it makes processing and methods of preservation. Ours starts from the love of wine, the perfect combination of joy of living, taste and pleasure of being in company. The excellence is often found in the indigenous flavors and being Sicily a land of long tradition of wine, was strong the temptation to "capture" the nuances and hints enclosed in its nectars. And that's how Palmeri was born.
Cantina Palmeri it‘s very good place for families with kids. Nice atmosphere with delicious Italian wine&food was completed with short guided tour in the winery. Especially good is the opportunity to use the pool. We celebrated a birthday of our friends there, so the Cantine is also suitable for that kind of visits. Thank you to senior Corrado for hosting and excellent welcome! Hope to visit Palmeri again!
