10 Wine Tours & Tastings in Auckland That You Shouldn't Miss

June 19, 2021 Marianna Hollaway

The Māori call Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau — a maiden desired by 100 lovers, and a valuable territory fought over for centuries for its fertile land and natural harbors on the Pacific Ocean (to the east) and Tasman Sea (to the west). Today, it’s New Zealand’s largest city: A vibrant and diverse place where nature and urban life go hand-in- hand, with 48 volcanic cones, more than 50 islands, and 29,000 km of coastline and beaches just minutes away from the arts and shopping of the central city.

We had an absolutely fabulous day out on the water with Gabrielle and Bruce. The boat is gorgeous, with lots of room to move around and relax, the food was amazing, and our hosts took really good care of us. Our trip was to watch the America's Cup with a group of friends, and we swam, ate, had a good old singalong and watched the racing... it could not have been a more perfect day. We'll definitely be booking again.

I had the best experience with Time Unlimited Tours, they were so prompt with their service. I had a group of 70 people getting transported from one venue to another. It was absolutely hassle free and my guests were very impressed! They were on time, so kind and helpful. Neill and Ceillhe are the loviest people and I just can't recommend their service enough!! 10/10 across the board. I would use this company again, ANY day of the week!

We booked in for a wine tour with WineVentures and had a brilliant day out! Our guide, Shirley was amazing, so much fun to chat with, she made the entire day really special. The wine tasting was great, we got to try wines from the local region and other parts of New Zealand, some of them where just amazing. We were treated so well by the staff at all of the wineries we visited. The food at lunch was delicious, it was cooked to perfection. I'd recommend this wine tour if you're visiting Auckland.
