One of the first bars in Lisbon, founded in 1974, 27th of April. It's an intimate and romantic place full of art deco pieces, where you can chat for hours, and taste one of our many cocktails, like the explosive ginger margarita or the delicious toasts in portuguese bread. You can also adventure yourselves with one of our premium gins, beers or wines! Open every day of the week from 9pm to 2am.

3+ arte - Cooperativa Artistica e Cultural is a Cultural project that aims to boost the arts in Vila Nova de Gaia. Art Gallery, Handicraft, Coworking, Port Wine... And more... Much more!
An "alternative" little gallery, set in an old warehouse in the heart of "port-land". We went for the port tasting and found a welcoming host and a fine sample of ports and cheeses. We chose the "basic" and "advanced" selections to share, along with two rustic cheeses from northern Portugal, tastefully presented. Our six ports, with the cheese cost approx 16 euros. We then browsed among the ethnic craft items, created by unassuming local arists and craftspersons, and bought presents for the family. Difficult to find but do persevere - such a friendly, welcoming ambience, as with so much of Porto.

Typical place where you can try and buy Madeira Rum from all the island. Visit MadeiraRumHouse!
Great place. Owner is friendly and offers plenty of advice on the various choices. Some nice rums. Also has wine and other local drinks, including the genuine fisherman's poncha, freshly made. Mid week December, and not overcrowded so plenty of space to sit. Great owner who makes you feel welcome and having spent some time here presented a fantastic photo since he used to be photographer. Genuine nice bloke. Will definitely visit again. Thanks again.

I originally booked the wine with a view tasting at the Belem tower. I received an email changing my location to the Castle instead. It ended up working out perfectly because my morning city orientation tour included wine with a view at Belem Tower(which I originally wanted). I had 2 tastings- Moscato and Port which was sweet and delicious especially before lunch and our tour guide got us those famous Belem egg tarts to go with the wine. I realized my afternoon wine with a view at the Castle was a better location with better views of Lisbon and the river. I had 5 tastings total(5th was madeira which was a bonus). However, it’s probably not a good idea to explore the castle after having that many glasses of wine. I was tipsy and walked with extra caution especially when climbing steps. Overall, it was a nice way to taste Portugal’s own signature wines like the Vino Verde and the Malavasia(madeira).
