Flickerwood Wine and Twisted Treats

Note their new address: 920 Market Street in Oxford. Lots of free parking and plenty of natural lighting. GREAT place to hang out and enjoy wine. Lots of games for kids to play while the adults sip. Their mulled wine is the best I've ever had, and I've had a LOT in Germany. (If you find it too sweet, add some lemon.)

We visit Chaddsford every year in September near our Anniversary. We walk around Peddler's Village, go do a wine tasting, purchase a few bottles of wine and then go out for dinner in New Hope. Honestly if we lived closer, we'd be visiting much more often. Wineries can sometimes be stuffy and pretentious but not this one. You are ALWAYS greeted with a smile and everyone is friendly and knowledgable. We always have great conversation w/ the Manager and she always recommends excellent choices and keeps it real which we like. I love tasting the new offerings they have for the season and learning all the ins/outs of how and when it was harvested. Ugh just can't say enough good things about this place. This year we left with 3 bottles. Can't wait to open them and reminisce about our wine tastings there.

Davenport Fruit Farm Cidery and Winery

We recently visited Davenport after seeing in the paper that they had a grand opening. Very comfortable location in a remodeled barn in the middle of an apple orchard. The inside was some what of a surprise, since they had newly remodeled the inside of the barn. It was the middle of the winter and it was warm and comfortable They have a selection of their own hard apple ciders, which are very tasty along with an assortment of locally brewed beer from their sister brewery TimberCreek Tap. I highly recommending a visit to get away from it all.

We had our wedding there and can't say enough about how wonderful it was. Pauline was amazing at decorating and planning the wedding, and always got back to me quickly when I had a question or concern. The ceremony was in the orchard, which was beautifully decorated. The ceremony couldn't have been better- the bartenders and other workers were friendly and professional. The views were also amazing. We had a small hiccup with COVID and both Pauline and Sal were supportive and helped give as many options as they could. Thank you for an amazing day!
