Onaping Falls

This is a very nice side trip from Sudbury. Started from AY Jackson Lookout and took the trail to the bridge. Please note that the first part of the trail is VERY rocky and you need appropriate footwear. Sometimes it is hard to navigate along the rocks so be very careful. After the rocky descent from the lookout, it is a nice walk along the water with great views, up to the bridge.

Bridal Veil Falls

We always like the views that we get and the hiking trails on the Island. Our second time here , the first time we went swimming but this time we didn’t have as much time to swim. Kids loved it

Duchesnay Falls Trails

Reviewed By cruisefan1950 - Strathroy, Canada

My wife and I visited North Bay in July 2020 and were looking for things to do when so many attractions were closed due to Covid-19. We decided to visit Duchesnay Falls, a short drive outside of the city, and were very impressed with the area. The trails are well marked and you definitely get some exercise climbing from one level of the falls to the next one. It was a hot day, but fortunately the whole area is well shaded. We definitely recommend visiting this area.

Chippewa Falls

The rest area features a very significant plaque, telling that Chippewa Falls is the Trans Canada Highway's halfway point. There is also a sidewalk and a viewing platform to truly appreciate the beauty of the falls. We arrived in a rainy day so the falls are stronger. There are also washrooms in the area, though I would suggest to hold it in for 8 more minutes until you get to the better washrooms at Batchawana Bay Provincial Park.

Silver Falls

Beautiful waterfall and nice hiking trail but long and a little tricky. It was easy to find parking area and there is also a trail below the falls from the bottom up if you go around by the marina.
