We had a Day Tour with Puffin Travel. Villi the owner was our driver and guide. He spoke excellent English was so interesting, knowledgeable, friendly and kind and showed us around the South Western corner of the island. He picked us up from our hotel in Reykjavik, the sun shone and we had a wonderful day. Thank you, we would recommend Puffin Travel to anybody that would like to see the real Iceland. A zipline ride is a great adventure for all those who love the thrill of doing something challenging but at the same time very safe. The tour starts with a mere 3-minute car ride to the starting point which overlooks one of Iceland's major glacier, Mýrdalsjökull. From there it's a mix of moderate hiking in breathtaking Icelandic landscape through a river canyon named Grafargil. We walk on uneven ground and the ziplines that we've placed on unique places above waterfalls and rivers. We have two ziplines, 240 meters and 140 meters long and in between we have a little adventures, one which we've named The Leap of Faith. In the end, we normally have a very enjoyable walk back to the starting point by the old highway nr.1 While you are whizzing down the ziplines don't forget to look around and below you, because the scenery around you is incredibly beautiful and you will have the birds-eye view of it.

Inclusions: Use of helmet, Harness and security equipment, Local guide

Exclusions: Hotel pickup and drop-off, Transportation to/from attractions

Having done most of the activities within Iceland I can 100 percent say this is a great one! It was pouring rain and we considered rescheduling but went anyway and had a great time. Fun Ziplining with a great view, definitely do this if you have a chance!

My wife and I went on Blue Ice Experience & Fjallsárlón Iceberg Lagoon / Zodiac tour. It was incredible. Our guide Daniel (from Scotland) was very helpful, informative and patient. My wife was really scared, he talked to her and got her confidence and we were able to walk on the glacier. The boat ride in the lagoon was awesome, the views from the lagoon was incredible. We were fortunate to experience both so early in the season when most of tour companies are still closed.

We start the day from Reykjavik in a bus and visit Lava Volcano Centre. From there we stop at the gorgeous Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls before we head to Vik. You will have free time for lunch at Vík. From there we’ll whisk you away in a superjeep to a secret glacier area where you’ll have the chance to explore one of these magnificent natural wonders. We’ll then fit you up with some loan equipment, including a helmet, headlamp, and crampons. From here it’s a 5 to 10 minute hike across the glacier to our ice cave. Once inside you’ll have plenty of time to explore the cave, admire the amazing tones and wild shapes, and learn all about these incredible structures. After 45 to 60 minutes of exploration, we’ll hike back to the super jeep. After the visit to Katla Volcano Ice Cave you have plenty of free time to explore Vik on your own, from approx. 15:30-19:00. We recommend going to the black sand beach and and see the Reynisdrangar rock formations and columnar basalt.

We spent 4 days travelling to see the Southern sites of Iceland with a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. In addition to the standards like the black sand beaches and the Blue Lagoon she showed us many sites that are not available on regular tours through the big companies like the Westman Islands at sunset and more waterfalls than I could imagine! We also sampled Icelandic foods like fish and chips, traditional Christmas treats and delicious tomato soup surrounded by the tomato vines. Best of all, we learned so much about the rich Icelandic culture and history from Gulla. We could not have asked for a better tour guide.

10. Iceland's south coast G spots

G spot Iceland

This is one of the most popular routes in Iceland and for apparent reason.. there is a lot of different landscapes close to each other. We'll take you for a journey where you'll see one of the most beautiful non tropical beaches with black sand, we'll drive next to one of them most powerful volcanoes - including famous Eyjafjallajökull that has paralysed sky traffic during it's eruption at 2010. You'll be shown visible proof to climate changes one of Mýrdalsjökull glacier tongues that is melting rapidly. We'll visit one of the biggest waterfalls in country that was a site for few film sets and then we would drive to another 2 waterfalls where af first we would walk behind one of them and then we would get in to a a small canyon to see another one. If you'll need more time to take pictures don't worry we don't rush so you have time to enjoy the views.

Inclusions: Coffee and/or Tea, WiFi on board, All Fees and Taxes, nice shiny Icelandic gift
