Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids, 10 and 13 years old) had a fantastic day with our tour guide Alejandro. After about a 45 min hike to the waterfall we were able to cool off before heading to the zip lines. Both kids had a great time and were easily able to do the hike and zip lines. Alejandro and his crew were fantastic and made our day. I highly recommend this activity if you are in Puerto Escondido, you will not be disappointed!

And then there's the street art. We will be walking around 3 neighbourhoods of the city visiting interesting spots, art workshops, and of course... street art. We were out for half a day with the Coyote team. It was incredibly beautiful. We drove 1.5 hours to the starting point on a mountain. From there we went down to the valley on modern mountain bikes. Not too slow and still careful. It was perfect and we felt very well looked after. Afterwards we had a delicious lunch in the village with locals. Very personal and not at all touristy. We were shown how carpets are made on site. Then we went to another mountain for a sunset hike. This was spectacular with a gorgeous view. The team gave us a wonderful unforgettable day. We can heartily recommend it if you are looking for something outside the main tourist attractions with individual activities.

Walk and discover the side of Puerto that tourists rarely see: real food, real people, real passion. If you are planning to go to Puerto Escondido this tour is a must. Why? Firstly, because you will discover the most “local” part of Puerto, where the locals actually eat, shop and live (far from the touristic beach sector). Secondly, because it’s got all the basics you need to know about Oaxaca’s food culture, this tour is packed with Mexican specialties and unique experiences to make you feel like a true Puerto local by the end of it (and for sure know the difference between a normal local cheese and the “Oaxacan” cheese one). Thirdly, it’s simply delicious So, if you feel hungry for Oaxacan cuisine, thirsty for cultural knowledge, and adventurous for an exciting walk – this tour is for you

Inclusions: Lunch, Coffee and/or Tea, Bottled water

Sofia was an amazing Tour Guide. I definitely recommend doing this Tour one day after you arrive. This tour will definitely come in handy. You will get to know some delicious hidden spots that are worth the while. My Husband and I had a great time and enjoyed all the stops we made along the tour. Beautiful History about Puerto Escondido and food knowledge that is highly recommended. My husband and I got some drinks along the way that were delicious and Sofia did an amazing job translating & making the group laugh. Must do tour when in vacation in the area.

We had hoped that the museum in this former seminary offer deep insights into the cultures of the indigenous peoples of the mountain villages. However, the displays focused more on the life and explorations of the founder, Blom, and his photographer wife. Her portraits of the Mayan people are worth a isit in themselves.

We did the Mountain Bike Tour in Chiapas to the Chiflon Waterfall and is was great! For me it was the first time being on a Mountain Bike, but the Guides were really good explaining everything to me and very patient. The Tour itsfel was beautyful and also going swiming in the waterfall was a highlight. The bikes and the equipment is very good quality and in a very good shape. I can recommend the tour! I dealt with Pepe for the reservation piece and he was very professional. I traveled with a party of 7 family members. We decided to go with private tours to go at our own pace and have the flexibility of customizing. We took a private tour to Chichen Itza one day and a private tour to Coba and Tulum another day. Manuel was our guide and Jose was the driver and both a pleasure to have. Manuel was extremely knowledgeable.
