10 Walking Tours in Phuket Town That You Shouldn't Miss

May 18, 2022 Giuseppe Pratt

Colorful Phuket is a mélange of lifestyles, a place where tranquil monks navigate the same streets as pumped up nightclubbers. The ornate temples and lively cafes of Old Town are prime spots for exploration. Check out the Shrine of the Serene Light and the aromatic Nguan Choon Tong herb shop. Browse and bargain for pretty trinkets at the nearby Thai Amulet Market. Don’t miss an opportunity to take in a performance at the epic Siam Niramit Phuket theater, a true cultural extravaganza.

Krating Cape is a beautiful viewing point on the south west coast of Phuket. It's quite difficult to get to, but if you do not mind walking 30-40 minutes past the rocks, cliffs, and steep hills, then it is definitely a place you should not miss. Krating Cape is known among photographers for its starlit landscapes, free from light pollution. There is a horn-shaped rock where photographers enjoy taking amazing photos. The panoramic views are very beautiful, especially during sunset. You should wear proper shoes, carry a head light, water, and wear long pants. From Krating Cape you can see Nad-harn Beach and the west coast of Phuket. Next to Nad-harn is Promthep Cape at the south end of Phuket and from here you can see Coral and Racha Island.

This tour, took my breathe away. My tour guide Jack, did an excellent job he gave us our itinerary for the day tour. The group was able to upgrade our tickets, from third class the bottom of the boat to either second class which was 500 baht and first class which was 700 baht. My only issue with this was everyone either booked their tickets in advance online or through a travel agency. So if you paid online and it cost you $43 usd, which I paid then the 700 baht which in american dollars was $24. It would have been better if the online tour operators had that option on their website. The headache was you had a large group of people who wanted the Gold Class the top seats, it became chaotic like a Black Friday thing. But after all that, the tour was great, going to Phi Phi Don I recommend this its worth it. The view was stunning, the water crystal clear. A lot of tourist there, too many people staying for overnight or more days.

My boyfriend and I booked an appointment for the end of our trip in Thailand, and are so beyond happy we did. You can choose from three different needle types, (including bamboo). I chose the regular gun tattoo because it’s more precise. My tattoo turned out better than I could even imagine, very detailed. He is so kind, and performed a prayer before and after the tattoo. I felt really well educated on the tattoo and the meaning. The tattoo was quick, and he had an amazing hand. I’m so impressed and hopefully I’ll be back to Thailand to get another. It is a bit expensive but in my opinion very worth it. I have had many tattoos from America and I believe it is definitely an appropriate price compared to the cost of my other tattoos. With the authenticity it is an once in a lifetime experience.

View of sunset was great. Peaceful, not crowded, place. Hike is not for the faint of heart. Need to wear covered shoes with grip and be ready to walk along an ocean cliffside and on rocks. It is rewarding to see sunset. Host used WhatsApp to confirm reservation beforehand and to share pictures, which was very helpful.
