Spyros's knowledge about Santorini is unmatched but he is more than a guide. He spoke about his own experience as an archaeologist and had us utterly captivated as he showed us around the island and Akrotiri. He then took us into the museum and again had us enthralled with his tales of the artifacts there. The trip around the island was full of stories and Greek history. We extended our tour by also going to a local winery which was a lot of fun and very tasty!!!

My wife and I planned a trip to Greece (mainland and several Aegean islands) for May 2020. Niki was so responsive and helpful working with us by email and text to plan our itinerary and arranging private tours and a driver at many sites, both with Niki and several of her associates. Then the pandemic hit and we had to cancel our trip but Niki has stayed in touch with us. We started participating in Niki's free virtual tours starting in March 2021 and got to meet Niki and her colleagues by Zoom. They are all so knowledgeable, friendly and articulate. The virtual tours have been great. We look forward to being able to re-schedule our trip soon and are even more excited about taking her tours in-person.

Once in Olympia, the highlights to visit are the Archeological Museum also called the New Museum and the Archeological site. In the archeological site, among several other remains of important buildings, you will see the gymnasium and the palaestra, the round Philipeion, the workshop of Phidias where the gold and ivory statue of Zeus was built, the temples of Zeus and Hera, the altar where the Olympic torch is being lit in the modern days and the ancient Olympic stadium. In the archeological museum are housed all finds that were excavated from the archeological site. Bronze and clay offerings (tripods and figurines), armor, vases, the tools and cup from Phidias's workshop, the gorgeous Hermes by Praxiteles, the Nike by Paeonios and the very impressive and very well preserved classical statues from the pediments of the temple of Zeus etc.

At the foothills of mount Lykaion lay the springs of a beautiful "female" river called Neda. According to Greek mythology Neda was a nymph, a goddess of water and she was one of those who nourished Zeus. The gorge of river Neda is a natural wonder of the Messinian countryside. The constantly varying landscape, the lush, the turquoise waters and the majestic cliffs, make the crossing of this gorge an unforgettable experience.

A great 6-day-kayaking-tour. We had good and bad weather, however, the guides George, Ana and Norbert always found a perfect alternative, like pool-training for wet exit, eskimo roll, etc or an alternative tour. All guides had been very supportive in every way and never-ending-patience with the pool-training. All of us could improve our kayaking skills a tremendous lot. George has a lot of stories (including history) to tell. We were spoiled with picknicks on remote beaches and a choice of excellent accomodation. But most important - we had a lot of fun in that week. A real highlight. I will definitely go back for more paddling next year with Explore Messinia.

Unmissable! This is by far the best experience on the Island. Having our own private boat was not only more practical but also a lot more fun. Denise at the helping desk is awesome! She is kind and knowledgeable...the skipper Thasos (not sure how to spell his name) is incredibly skilled and fun. We had a blast!!!
