Hondaafushi is located in the Northern Haa Dhaalu Atoll. The island measures about 500m at its widest point and has an approximately 2km long sandy beach. The lagoon in front of the beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Water sports enthusiasts will feel like a fish in water at Hondaafushi. Within a walking distance, the jetty on the west side of the island allows an easy entry to the house reef. A shuttle service of a special kind will be our boat shuttle to the approximately 25 different dive spots besides the house reef. This service is available for a small service fee. Night dives and early morning dives at the house reef are daily possible.

Reviewed By jo64bWe visited Hondaafushi as a family group booked through Voyage Prive, which was easy and smooth so will definitely use them again. A long journey which we were prepared for with a great boat ride to the island, exhilarating! The rooms were spacious and clean and the room boy did a great job daily for us. The food, buffet style was lovely and the chefs even told us they would cook anything else we fancied. The island is large, we have been to the Maldives 7 times all to different islands and this was the largest, personally we prefer the smaller islands. The sand and sea are lovely. Very windy by the pool but some lovely sunsets. Snorkelling not good and unfortunately we did have some bad weather for about 5 days, just be prepared for this if you travel in wet season. We feel the island would benefit from having another bar on the island it's big enough, the shop very small so take plenty of suntan cream and insect repellent. We wouldn't go back to the island we would always go to a different one. The price was very good.

Reviewed By cigaraguaI am at adaaran resort as I write this review: day 2 from a 4 day stay. I wish I was somewere else. The review: we are staying at the prestige water villa part of the atol. The watervilla is dated and in new of a huge re -do. This resort belongs to a large blue chip company that obviously has little care for this property. The prestige part is all inclusive, but the quality is so mediocre that I would have preferred to pay in order to get decent food and decent wine. This was supposed to be a magical trip, a gift given to myself for turning 50 today. It is not. The people who work here are the ones that have my respect & sympathy: they are devoted, kind & hardworking towards the guests. They are the ones cleaning up the mess for the owners of this resort, covering up their lack of vision & care for this place. 2 more days , then I can go back home… cannot wait..

Reviewed By XebecheTasA great place for relaxing. The room (beach house) was great. Beautiful outdoor shower and a great bed! The staff is very friendly and willing to help you at any time. The restaurant unfortunately wasn't that good, however there are many restaurants in the area. The one thing they should inform you about on their site, is that the beach in front of the hotel is not open for public. You have to go to the other side of the island and walk to "bikini beach."

Reviewed By Indranil2uI didn't stay in the guest house only had a dinner in the restaurant. Compared to all the other restaurants in this island this place was expensive, especially for the quality and taste of food that it offered. The neighbouring restaurants offer much better food and at better prices. Additionally, this restaurant charges (at least it charged me) tax on top of the food and drink bill which no other restaurant charged me in this island. Other restaurants in the island - you pay what you order (with prices on the menu).

Reviewed By niha92Coral villa at Ukulhas was an excellent stay and is just a few steps away from the beach. The guesthouse is equipped with good snorkel gear and staff who are familiar with excursions, they were able to accommodate a family of seven for multiple excursions including snorkeling and fishing. The place serves commendable breakfast and has a self serving kitchenette to make quick meals for those traveling on a budget. Overall, our two night stay at the guest house was quite good.
