Your culinary experience begins with a walk near Maria’s home where you will learn to identify and gather wild herbs and greens. Depending on the season, you will collect herbs like sage, St. John’s wort and other wild greens. Maria shares her historical and scientific knowledge about the plants, as well as their use in herbal medicine and how to cook them in unexpected combinations. After foraging, return to Maria’s home kitchen and learn how to turn these wild plants and organic cultivated vegetables and legumes, into your meal. This is a hands-on cooking experience and Maria will guide you through the process, sharing cooking techniques, nutritional information and her stories as you cook together. You’ll prepare a unique, traditional Greek meal that is outside the mainstream of Greek food and highlights local cheeses, vegetables, legumes and grains. Traditionally meat was used sparingly so the meal will focus on vegetable-rich dishes that are highlighted with meat.

We stayed a whole week on the boat and it never got boring. We sailed around several Greek islands and it was so much fun! Even though we were a lot of people on the boat, there still was a good amount of privacy :) Toby was such a great skipper! While we were in Greece there was a hurricane. Even though most people wanted to explore and venture out, Toby never took unnecessary risks and yet still managed to give us the adventure we wanted. I felt very safe 100% of the time. Thanks for an unforgettable time!

We literally had a dream week with Sailing Blue and Periklis Gkikas with an almost brand new Lagoon 450F catamaran from August 1 to 7, 2020 departing and returning to Milos, Greece. When you go with small children and people who have little sailing experience and have few days of holidays each year, you really have to find the right person, the one who will make sure you are constantly sailing safe and who will do everything to make your week as enjoyable as possible. However, given the multitude of yacht charter offers with a skipper, it is a bit of a lottery to find the right person. For my part, I met Periklis Gkikas at the 2019 boat show in Paris. From the start, I appreciated his seriousness and professionalism. Unlike others, he was very clear on what we could do in 1 week from Milos and offered us several options (departure port, routes, etc.). He didn't try to "oversell" what might happen during our stay. We were even able to discuss together the possible thorny points of a stay in August, namely the meltem (north wind) which can blow very strongly in August and also the question of mooring in the port which can be complicated due to the crowds in August (which was not really the case this last summer because of the travel restrictions due to the covid19 pandemic). During the 1st lockdown, we stayed in contact with Periklis and he kept us constantly informed of the modalities for entering Greece during the pandemic. On the 1st day, Periklis was early so we could join him earlier on the catamaran at the port of Milos. The refueling done, we were able to leave for a dream week where Periklis was able, every day of the week, to maximize between our desires to visit such and such a place or to stop to swim and enjoy the sea, the weather of the day and the time available to us. In addition, we did not have to do any wild mooring because Periklis found us a safe place in a port every evening. Very important also, Periklis did not stop worrying about our comfort throughout the week and therefore made an effort to steer the catamaran with calm and discernment, avoiding the constant changes of course and tackings unnecessary. This is extremely enjoyable, especially for people with little sailing experience on board, for children. At no time during the week did we feel at risk. Safety, comfort on board and seriousness are the fundamental and real values of Sailing Blue and Periklis Gkikas. Our week of catamaran in the Cyclades has been idyllic and we look forward to leaving with Sailing Blue and Periklis to continue to visit Greece, this magnificent destination which we fell in love with.

Some fabulous villas with mosaics floors is a nice discover in the ancient Agora; If you visit the nice mountain Dikaios, ca. (847 m) , and the charming village Zia is very close to the mountain; a very romantic village with small narrow streets, many little shops, or visit the Monastery of Spondi; the panoramic views of the whole of Kos or also see the wonderful sunset from Zia, will be a super experience.

My husband and I planned our honeymoon in Sept. 2018 as a few days in Athens, then taking a bus to the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio for an afternoon and onward to a marina where we met Luciana and Renato. They gave us a warm welcome of Prosecco and conversation with the other passengers, one woman traveling alone and two friends traveling together. Luciana and Renato offered us a free upgrade to the master suite, which had a huge bed, en suite bathroom, and 'skylight' that opened for extra air flow. With the tides/winds/storms for the week, Renato our expert captain navigated us to the Saronic islands, which was beautiful smooth sailing to places like Hydra, Aegina, Poros, and so many other amazing bays and ports! The typical schedule was waking to jazz to let us know breakfast was ready (fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, etc.), finding a quiet bay/alcove to swim, eating a home-cooked meal deliciously made with love by Luciana on the boat (often fish or kebab with salad or potatoes - always something fresh and flavorful!), then off to the next port to explore and have dinner on land (apart or together), and back to the boat to sleep for the night. Luciana and Renato gave great recommendations for the various ports, and we loved that the places we went had stuff to explore but weren't overwhelmed with tourists -- they were very local spots. We even encountered a pistachio festival! We saw dolphins several times and even swam alongside our boat for several minutes (literally, next to us -- we could touch them). September was a great time to go as far as ports not being crowded, temperature not to humid, water not too cold. We only had one rough sail briefly where we kind of had to hunker down, but no one got sick or tossed overboard since Renato minimized our wind exposure when we could get between islands. My husband is a sailor, so he got to help with the boat a bit, but it's not necessary for the excursion as Luciana and Renato are expert Captain and First Mate. It was a very, very special honeymoon that we will remember always and hope to replicate in the future! I cannot recommend this type of trip, and specifically the hospitality of Luciana and Renato, enough!!!

We booked a Localgrapher for a couples shoot in Arizona. The results were okay at best, and we regretted not seeking out an established local in the area. For the price, we received 60 very average choices and the ability to select 35 shots. We couldn’t even find 35 framed correctly. The localgrapher website is also a joke which requires a youtube video to figure out. The UI is terrible and the photos will disappear rapidly so do not wait to download (set aside a couple hours - that’s how bad it is). But really, just avoid. Hire someone directly.
