We caught the fast train for a day visit from Málaga. The train was very clean, fast and on time. You get allocated a seat automatically. We caught the 9.25 and returned on the 19.35 and fitted in everything we wanted to do.

We did the Toledo-Segovia day tour and it was fantastic! Our guide Alfonso was so knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, he truly made the experience unforgettable. The bus was great, the schedule ran on-time throughout the day, and we were able to see all the best sites in the two cities while learning about their history. Javier is the ultimate guide — very personable, knowledgeable and such a delight. We visited every important destination in the beautiful city of Toledo with Javier explaining its history with so much knowledge and passion. The highlight was the visit to the beautiful Cathedral with Its stunning altar and treasure throve of art work and El Greco paintings. We could never forget El Greco’s “The Burial of the Count of Orgaz” housed at the Iglesia de Santo Tome. Javier’s very interesting explanation of the masterpiece’s background made our experience — three sisters alone in the viewing room — even more precious. Thank you, Javier, you are a brilliant guide!

We had the awesome opportunity to share in this olive farm regeneration experience with Laura leading the tour. You will be fascinated with the strategy for organic farming and fiscal sustainability. Your first stop is meeting Laura or Guillermo at the village bus stop for personal escort (5-10 minutes) to the farmland. The earth is dry, sand like due to no rain. Laura provides straw hats and water. We stood for various lectures in the olive tree shade to learn of the challenges and hopeful success in the dedicated effort to bring the family heir-loomed farm to the next 100 years. The tour moved to the refurbished hen house for a comfortable olive oil tasting and tapas with wine (or juice). Toilet on site here. A very unique way to spend part of your day before venturing to Toledo or back to Madrid.

Overall a good tour. Juan was a very enthusiastic and friendly guide. We did the entire three hour tour. One thing that would be good to know is that the tour is kind of split into two parts. The first part you walk around and look at monuments of Toledo. The second part of the group splits and those who do not purchase the full tour leave and then you visit the rest of the monuments and go inside. One of the most impressive things on the tour is The Burial of Conde Orgaz by the famous painter El Greco! Toledo has so much to offer and it’s a city that should not be missed!

The experience was fantastic. It was the best birthday present I could have done to my Mother on her 60th birthday. It was a surprise until we arrived to the place and saw the hot air ballons just starting to be blowed in front of the sunrise. Amaizing picture which still on my mind. Segovia is probably one of the best picture spots to have this experience. I would recommend it to anyone.
