We did a private wine country tour with Francesco in October 2019 (it has taken me entirely too long to write this review). We had a great time with Francesco. He is so personable and was so much fun to spend the day with. Ask him to tell you the story of why there are black roosters on Chianti Classico wine bottles. Francesco is very professional, was able to accommodate a change in plans based on our preferences, and delivered top-notch service throughout the day. If (when) we go back to Florence, we will be giving Francesco a call!

Kitesurfing is a quite new sport, it’s about riding on a modified surfboard while holding on to a specially designed kite, using the wind for propulsion. Thinking of the kite we can think of the Hawaiian, Brazilian or South African beaches and few can imagine that the most famous place for the practice of this sport in Europe is right in the province of Trapani and is called Stagnone.Stagnone natural reserve is the suggestive Marsala lagoon which includes the islands of Mozia, Isola Grande or Lunga, Schola and Santa Maria. Known to many for the herons the windmills and the amazing sunsets. The lagoon has an average depth of 30/40 cm so that you can come back by foot even if you are hundreds meters away from the shore and there are no waves or current even with strong wind. This combination of shallow and flat water and a very high percentage of windy days makes the lagoon one of the favorite destinations for kitesurfers from all over Europe.

I stayed for 8 days in this location and there is no wind. The chances of getting long periods of time without wind is huge in this place. I wasted my holiday just to sit on a rock and wait for the wind. Not worth it.

Package of lessons with professional instructor, with high quality equipment, radio communication and highest level of safety. Perfect location at the lagoon with flat and shallow water. Lessons will take two of You to the world of kiteboarding. It normally takes 2-3 days to do 6h of lessons, but how to divide hours between days is only up to You. We recommend 2-4h a day.

Sometimes you are lucky and the wind blows you not only to an amazing kitespot but also to such a great team like Torre Loopa Kite Zone. They are much more than friendly and helpful. You can feel a warm atmosphere of happiness and harmony. Even if you don’t need lessons anymore, you will always get help from everybody in the team there. It’s like kiting with friends. And if you have a break of kiting, sitting on the beach you can see and feel the enthusiasm of the kite teachers. They know what they are doing and they are making a really great job. Safety first... but always with power, fun and success. Thanks especially to Adrienne and Gabor, the heart of the Team. Thanks for the great time and the good energy I got. I had a lot of fun and always felt safe while kiting (finally also with starting the kite) I will come back.

This package is aimed at those who have already had the opportunity to take a basic course and who want to improve their level (jumps, old school rotations or freestyle etc.) and / or achieve independent kiter goals. After class hours, the school offers a full day of full equipment rental. During the lessons and for the rental, the equipment is all included in the package price (wetsuit, shoes, harness, life jacket, helmet, board, kite, etc.). Individual lessons, 1 instructor with 1 student, radio helmet; instructor always in the water with pupil for faster progression and instant correction of errors. AT THE END OF THE COURSES, THE STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE AN IKO CARD (International Kiteboarding Organization) in which the level reached will be reported. The card is internationally recognized.

I came to Alain and his team as a complete beginner, and I am very happy of the experience. The environment was very relaxed and inclusive, even for someone who has never seen a kite before, nor had any prior board experience. Classes depend on the wind, so there is no fixed class schedule, but Alain keeps in contact with everyone trying to let you out as soon as the conditions are favorable. The instructors are very competent, professional, and patient, so they manage to create a very enjoyable atmosphere even when there are times when you struggle. Grazie Alain, Max, e Lollo!
