Went on the 5 day Christmas Ride of Northern Thailand during the Covid shutdown. Hadn't been on a bike bike in a while but picked it back up quickly as the Versys 650 lived up to the hype being a very comfortable and powerful machine. Going into the trip I was expecting to do a casual stroll through the world famous Thailand twisted. What I got was a thrill of a lifetime! Forgot just how much fun carving turn after turn on stunningly beautiful roads on a big bike was. We made rest stops about every hour or so which was good. Not having ridden in a while I was quite surprised I never got uncomfortable on the bike. Kay and Noah looked after all the details for us well and the bikes were well maintained. The hotels were more than adequate and the meals were authentic. If your into sportbiking, you don't want to miss taking a tour with big bike tours. Novice riders take note, you will be pushed to your limits so if your into adrenaline, go for it! Truly a "bucket list" tour! Thanks again Kay and Noah.

For most of my life I have been physically active, always challenging myself. Power lifting, boxing or climbing the highest peaks of Colorado. In my sixties I would travel from the mountains of Colorado to the beautiful mountains of Pai, Thailand. Home of Nam Yang Retreat. I committed to study at Nam yang for six months. Due to the COVID-19 I trained four months longer. Ten months in total. Nam Yang students come from all over the globe. One aspect of the retreat I really loved.!! It truly cultivated a sense of Family and Community. An amazing diversity of people with one common goal. The training is very intense and vigorous. After the first two weeks I began feeling focused and stronger. I was ready to move on! The instructors are the most talented and patient people that I ever had the pleasure of knowing and learning from. They would go over every detail taking their time for me to learn. Master Iain was one of the most fascinating people people I have ever met. He brought an amazing calmness and eagerness to learn for me and the entire retreat. . I was a beginner when I first arrived, and ten months latter I graduated to the intermediate level. I had an amazing journey learning several weapons and freehand routines. I have learned to work on my meditation with several techniques to apply. It was most certainly a full Body, Mind and Spirit experience!!! I plan on returning to the retreat to continue my training, Maybe I'll see you there!!! Jeff Student of Kung Fu .

We had an absolutely wonderful time on the all-day "Doi Suthep & Inthanon National Park Day Tour". Our guide, Maggie, could not have been nicer. She was genuinely excited to share her knowledge and love of Thai culture, history, and religion as we visited the beautiful temples and nature sites on the tour. And she's a great photographer to boot--she knew exactly where to set up the best Instagram-ready shots, if that's your bag. The van was quiet, comfortable and air-conditioned and our driver Ut navigated the sometimes windy roads without raising my pulse rate. The tour included a hearty, delicious Thai lunch in a lovely local restaurant at the foot of the Inthanon hills. Even though I had to catch the overnight train to Bangkok right at the time the tour was due to end, Maggie made sure that we were able to see everything without ever making us feel rushed. We had plenty of time for relaxing, souvenir hunting, and sipping delicious northern Thai coffee. We're already planning a return visit to go on one of her hiking tours!

Two friends and I did a two-day tour which included seeing elephants, bamboo rafting and jungle trekking. We enjoyed every minute of it. Samart was a great guide and extremely knowledgeable, we loved the beautiful views from our accommodation at Spicy Villa, and the food was fantastic – every meal was a feast, even when served up by a waterfall in the jungle. The chance to feed and bathe with the elephants was particularly special and the staff seem to have a good connection with them, managing them with voice commands only. Thanks for a great weekend!

The journey from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai took approximately 4 hours. On the way to Chiang Rai, we had a short stop at a hot spring park for tea and toilet break. There are many food and souvenirs shops. After the stop we continue to visit the White Temple. It’s beautiful. The area is quite big. We were allowed to go into the temple but taking pictures was not allowed. Before proceeded to visit the Blue Temple, we had our lunch at a nearby restaurant. Food was average. Not tasty. The Blue Temple is not far from the White Temple. It’s smaller. Inside the temple, there were many paintings about the life of Buddha. The temple is beautiful too. I prefer the White temple more. Next stop is the Baan Daam or Black house where it kept many items made of animals. It’s something like a taxidermy. Personally, I don’t really enjoy the Black house since there’s nothing much to see. The area is big but most of the items were the same. There were crocodiles, furniture made of buffaloes’ bones amongst others. Our last stop was the Long Neck village which I enjoyed very much. We met with several ladies with long neck. They were previously from Burma. They put on heavy metal around their neck until the shoulder lowered down and that made the neck appeared longer. It was understood that they started wearing the metal around their neck at the age of 5 years. Previously it was made of gold, today it’s made of bronze. The metal weigh around 3 kg. The people made souvenirs to support their daily needs. It was really a long day but an enjoyable tour. The visit to the long neck village was one I enjoyed the most.
