We were very happy that we were able to do a tour to the plitvice lakes in corona times. The company offered us a private tour (for a slightly higher price), and the driver, Darko, picked us up at our hotel. Darko is a wonderful guide, thanks to his knowledge about the country, which extends to culture, history and even philosophy. We enjoyed interesting conversations with him in the car. When we had seen the plitvice park, we only had to call him and he picked us up again within 5 minutes!

My fiancé and I had such a good time with Jakov!! His knowledge of Croatian history and the surrounding countries was unbelievable, and he weaved in interesting stories and little facts as we strolled along in Samobor or drove through the beautiful vineyards. There was never a moment that wasn’t fun! He has such a great sense of humor and his passion for leading tour guides is wonderful. It’s clear he has so much experience as a tour guide and really is so great at what he does. We felt like we could’ve been old friends with him by the end of the day, and we’re so glad we had this opportunity. It was definitely the highlight of our stay in Zagreb!!

Inside the national park you can visit the Upper or the Lower lakes, depending on your preferences, take a ride with an electric boat through the biggest lake, Kozjak, and take a panoramic train to see the lakes from above.

I went with friends on an e-bike tour with wine tasting. It was during the local 'Martinje' wine christening festival. The weather was not that great but the experience was really great because we had e-bikes so the tour was really easy. The food was great and there were wine testing stops along the way. Definitely would recommend!

We booked the private 5 island boat tour for a family of 4 (with young children ages 5 and 2). This was our highlight of our trip to the Split area. Marija assisted with all questions we had and helped us secure the trip that was right for us. We elected for the Jeanneau Prestige 34, as it had a closed cabin and extra space for the kids. We met Nicola and Tony at the Old Pier, and after getting on the boat, went over our itinerary and ideas for the day. We first stopped in Trogir, then headed to the Blue Cave and Green Cave, and then stopped at the Blue Lagoon and Pakleni islands for swimming. I cannot speak more highly of Nicola as our skipper, as we was knowledgeable, friendly, and amazing with the kids. We will never forget this experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to visit the sights around Split (even if you have young children).
