It's one thing to go to an amazing place of natural beauty and Wilson's Prom NP certainly packs a punch and ticks that box with great hiking trails, beautiful vistas, green valleys, sandy and secluded beaches, and lots of wildlife. But to go there with a tour that manages to squeeze all that in one day without making you feel exhausted so you can truly appreciate your visit takes a real expert 9adn that's where Hike and Seek tick all the boxes!). Special thanks to the tour guide Michael, who could answer any queries and engaged with all participants to make us feel part of the team. It is a long day (and more so for the tour guides) as the drive to Wilson's Prom is almost 3 hours each way from Melbourne so make sure you have a book with you (you will have your own light and air condition vent in the minibus!) or download earlier some good podcasts to watch (you will travel through places with no or poor internet access so be prepared).

Henry gave us a great tour of Phillip Island, aided by some beautiful weather (thanks melbourne). He was a very knowledgeable guide and just a great guy to have to spend the tour with. We had a close family friend who warned us from doing a trip down to Phillip Island. They hated it. But the more I read up on the island, the more I realised that most other people that had visited the island, overwhelmingly had a positive experience. But now I understand why my friend hated it. They took a bus tour and when we compared notes on our tour, they described the places they stopped. Well they only visited 3 stops. We visited about 10 different locations and half of them were definitely not on the tourist map as we were the only ones there. But to be honest, these were my favourite stops. They were well away from the tourist buses and in fact probably not accessible to the buses as we went down some narrow roads. But the wildlife there was out of this world. So look, if you are going to to Phillip island at all, find out where you will be taken. How much value for money are you getting. Are the tickets included. Is there an advantage to taking a private tour. How well does your group mix with other people you have never met. Do you want to go and your own pace or happy to go at the pace set by the rest of the group. Do you want to be picked up from your hotel doorstep or are you happy to jump on a tram to meet the bus tour. Obviously these are not questions my friends asked before she booked her tour. So really, do your research people or you will just end up on a tour that isn’t right for you. There are lots of options so nobody out there should be licking the wrong tour for them.unless you are a lazy click and book person like my friend!

Holidaying at home this year, we researched and studied reviews widely before deciding to undertake a two day Great Ocean Road private tour with Acacia Luxury Private Tours. Booking was simple and efficient and Paul attended to every detail to make our journey just perfect even down to our preferred beverages and snacks in the vehicle. On the day Stuart collected us in a super comfortable and luxurious Mercedes Benz vehicle. Stuart grew up in the region and therefore was able to tailor the tour exactly to our desire. We wanted to see wildlife so he was able to take us to off road places where we were able to see kangaroos, koalas, emus and amazing birdlife in the wild. It exceeded every expectation. We could not have done it justice if we had driven ourselves. The whole journey is jaw-droppingly beautiful from the beaches to the rainforest and the unforgettable Twelve Apostles. All our meals and the luxury lodging in picturesque Port Fairy were perfect too. We definitely recommend the Great Ocean Road journey with the expert team at Acacia. Thank-you so much guys.

I joined to this tour with my 8yo son in December 2019. Chris was warm and friendly guide, and has deep knowledge on the history and nature of south Victoria. We learned a lot from him on the way down to Phillip Island. The tour is packed with visits to interesting and beautiful places but have appropriate free time which we really appreciated. This was one the best load trips in my life. My son were talking about the trip often even now (8 months after the trip). Thank you Chris for your great guide.

We arrived at midday for the “Gin High Tea”. The array of food was fabulous and very tasty. The service was very efficient and friendly. After high tea we went to check into our room, which had been upgraded complimentary. The room was modern, clean and warm. We then went to the bar for a few drinks before dinner in the bistro. Again the service was efficient, friendly and the open fire nice and warm. A really great fun experience and would highly recommend for a great weekend:-)
