10 Tours in Cornwall That You Shouldn't Miss

October 21, 2021 Carley Gatson

Cornwall is the extreme southwestern peninsula of England. It has the longest stretch of continuous coastline in Britain and it is one of the sunniest areas in the UK. With picturesque villages, Celtic ruins, light blue waters, gardens and parks and unique architecture it certainly is among the most scenic areas of England. Home of many events and festivals and the land of Cornish pasty, it is definitely worth visiting.

This was a brilliant experience, celebrating my 70 th birthday. We set off from just outside Launceston. Arthur the pilot was ably assisted by Maryanne and Mat in preparing the ballon for takeoff. Then up and away - just me and my wife, with Arthur and a bottle of champagne! A glorious flight for an hour or so, then down with barely a bump in a field. Arthur was a delightful companion as well as pilot, and we felt completely safe. Highly recommended.

Great afternoon coasteering. Swimming, climbing and jumping, Victor our instructor talked us through all safety aspects as well as demonstrating every aspect of the session before asking us to do it. Never any pressure to do anything you didn’t want to or out of comfort zone (due to height or sea conditions) Good local knowledge of the coast and its history too. Even in May, with all the layers of wetsuits, never got cold. A real fun afternoon out

I will guide you on a gorgeous route in Morwenstow taking us through some of the Southwest's most remote, wild and spectacular terrain which has a rich and fascinating history. This circular route packs in a lot of different elements and includes a section along some of Cornwall's highest and wildest clifftops, follows a secluded hidden valley, and passes through peaceful meadows and ancient churchyards. Along the way you we will take in the incredible views, stop at some amazing local spots and learn about the rich and wild history of an area best known for shipwrecks, smuggling and eccentric poets. We will pass through Morwenstow church and it's spectacular clifftop setting and stop at Hawker's hut, a tiny shelter set into the cliff face which was built out of shipwrecked wood in 1843. The route will take between 1.5 and 2.5 hours depending on walking pace but the route can be changed easily to meet your needs. Please be aware there are some steep sections.

Thank you Doug for our full day bespoke tour of Cornwall, encompassing The Poldark Tour, Lands End, the Atlantic and the Channel coastal towns and villages, it was a joy for my partner and myself. Your skilled driving down very narrow country roads, which we would have never attempted to navigate, giving us a stress free day which allowed the two of us to relax and enjoy the views and your well balanced information. Fun, good banter and a plethora of local/ancient knowledge......and plenty of stops for photo opportunities. A 5 star tour from a 5 star guide. The two of us can highly recommend Menaege Tours to anyone visiting Cornwall.

Absolutely amazing experience - we made our rings from complete scratch! Carole guided us through the whole experience, only getting involved when needed, she built such a strong relationship with us so quickly, and I was really amazed at her knowledge and expertise. We were not set by any strict designs, and she allowed us free reign in terms of design. It has made our rings feel that bit more special.
