Echi di Puglia Resort

Amazing staff and experience

Reviewed By davidjcarroll1990

Amazing stay here for 2 nights. The staff go above and beyond to help you and are so friendly. They helped us rent a car and were always contactable via watsapp. The resort itself is beautiful and serene and the room was 5 star. Free bikes to cycle 5 min to the old town were very useful. There is free parking should you rent a car also. 5 stars overall and would highly recommend.

Charming Trulli

B&B Charming trulli is a complex of trulli located among the beautiful streets of historic centre of alberobello . Trulli are very cozy, elegant and refined, furnished with a minimal taste Mediterranean-style, typical of the area. The reception is located next to the Trullo Sovrano, near the most important monuments of Alberobello . Guests are fully taken care of and pampered even better than that offered by the activities continuously assisted by information material made in an appropriate and tailored to their needs ; breakfast rich and abundant in international style is offered in its restaurant trattoria TERRA MADRE, with organic garden, where guests can also have lunch or dinner or to make cooking courses with vegetables picked from their garden at the back of the restaurant: possibility to use a free computers and printers inside the reception.

Very interesting buildings

I had an excellent breakfast, probably the best in over two weeks travelling around Italy. The town was average though imho. The rooms were clean and the under floor heating was especially welcomed. I recommend charming Trulli

Masseria Trulli e Vigne

Frozen Dr. Oetker pizzas charged 50 euros

Reviewed By Stéphanie D

The good points: - the masseria has a really nice pool and beautiful views. It gives you a luxurous feeling when coming home from dinner. - Our staff was very friendly and helpful The bad points: - we had never fresh bread for breakfast. Overall, the choice is very limited for a +250 euros room and a long stay. - the owner suggested to organise our pizzas during our pool day (instead of going to Martina Franca town). Surprisingly 2 dr. Oetker pizzas were served! The biggest surprise came when checking out: the owner charged 50 euros for this ‘lunch’: scandalous. The restaurant was poor quality in general. - Difficult communication in English Overall we would recommend the masseria for 1-2 nights because of the views and the pool but skip the restaurant and enjoy the great restaurants in Martina Franca town. The price setting is not correct for a longer stay.

Trulli Arco Antico

Excellent experience

Reviewed By Bruno D

We went there off season. But the place is very well maintained, clean and cozy. Nothing is missing inside the trullo we stayed in. 2 bedroom (fits 4 ), kitchenette and little dining room. The price is way reasonable for what they offer. The pace is really quite and it is in the middle of the countryside. The advantages that the construction is far off the main road and sleep quality is excellent. You have to take care if your breakfast, but it is worth.

Beauty Beach Villa

Disappointing...I'd choose elsewhere

Reviewed By JohnSFitz

We booked an overnight stay at Beauty Beach Villa while traveling across Italy. Our first warning was that it was very difficult to find. The address takes you to another property 1/4 mile away. We called the online booking facility and were told that the owner was enroute and would meet us in 10 minutes. 45 minutes later we saw a woman waving to us from down the road asking us if we were staying at Beauty Beach Villa. She motioned for us to follow her down the road. The "Villa" was behind 2 locked metal gates down a narrow alley towards the beach. Upon arrival, we found out that we were the only guests. None of the advertised amenities (hot tub, wifi, lounge and beach equipment) was available and they were clearly not ready to receive guests. The building and room was modern and clean, but dark and very small...Almost underground. It had an awkward layout with the shower open to the bedroom and no privacy door for the toilet. The proprietor showed us our room and told us breakfast would be served outside at 8:30 am. She then promptly left for the entire night with instructions to call Francesco, whose number was on the back of the door if we had trouble. The property is NOT in Monopoli, but several km outside of Monopoli. No open restaurants could be found within several miles. After searching for over an hour, we finally ended up finding a market and purchased chips, cookies and sodas for our evening meal. We retired for the evening in a comfortable enough bed but the heater in the room was not functioning. The next morning we awoke to no hot water to shower. The morning breakfast was adequate and served buffet style. A usual mix of pastries, breads, meats, juices and coffee served by 3 friendly women. How this place got a 5 star rating is beyond us. I'd suggest skipping this place and find something more accommodating.

Hello Apulia Villa Carenza

The ten hectars of gardens surrounding Villa Carenza are witnesses of a history spanning more than a century. A story that has gone through several generations. Today guests can be a part of its ongoing history by renting its apartments and/or suites. They are guaranteed to have unique experiences on the grounds of this picturesque villa. Villa Grassi

Friendly and efficient

Reviewed By Steve H

We visited in November and the main room was quite well heated by a pellet burning stove and radiators. The bedroom was less well heated and was, in fact, quite cold. Our stay lasted a week and since we were there most evenings, certain things did begin to irritate! The TV is set very high up on a huge fold-up bed affair so had to be moved down every day to be viewable. The sofa had to be turned since it was in quite the wrong place. These are of course, very minor matters indeed and I mention them only in the hope that the owners might review them! More serious was that the kitchen had no utensils at all! No kitchen knives, no wooden spoons, chopping board or other tools. There were a couple of cheap saucepans and frying pans and nothing else. A 4 ring gas cooker with the main ring disabled meaning that trying to boil water for pasta took forever! The lighting was completely inadequate and I had to bring a bedside lamp in every time I wanted to cook! I suppose that most people eat out so this won't matter to many but for us, it made the stay less comfortable than it might have been. Breakfast is supplied in the form of packets of sweet buns etc (not to our taste) and a good coffee machine is also present. The bathroom is well appointed, everything works as it should, and there's plenty of hot water. The owners topped up the pellet stove every day while we were out. There is under-cover parking. There are also cats, lots of them! The owner (we really spoke only with the son) is friendly and they seem to have a successful and popular business. Overall, we enjoyed our stay though it could have been made more comfortable by the additions and small changes mentioned above. This seems to be listed as a hotel but it isn't really, it's a b&b or rented apartment - perhaps something in between!
