great location

Reviewed By ahaspe337492

We stayed for 4 nights and had lots of time to explore Capetown. It's a stunning little area to stay in and we felt safe at all times. The room was spacious and the balcony provided wonderful views of Lions Head and the mountains. The best bit; you can park safely in front of the hotel in an enclosed area and walk to the beach in 3 minutes. A supermarket is nearby too. The staff was helpful and friendly. We'd definitely stay again if we get the chance!

Meerendal Hotel - a big disappointment

Reviewed By Bianke123

Sadly the experience at the Meerendal Hotel was very disappointing. On arrival, there was ZERO service and hospitality. Not even a welcome. Just a key hand over with no explanation of where your room is, breakfast, etc. After coming back to the hotel after a wedding, the security guard completely ignored us and wouldn’t open up for us - he could see we were struggling with the remote and wouldn’t assist at all. He was rude and unhelpful. This was unacceptable. We thought the gate would open with our remote but apparently it’s a panic button. Something we didn’t know and the staff never communicated on arrival!!! Breakfast was included but you couldn’t spend over R110. So essentially if you are ordering a breakfast, coffee and juice, you are going to have to pay in. For what you pay, this was a waste. I won’t not recommend this hotel.

Great property and staff

Reviewed By 381niklasl

We stayed at Ridgemor Villa when relocating to Somerset West, Our accommodation was not ready so we had to book one night additional. Arriving on 25th December (afternoon), we were hungry after 4 hours drive. Most shops and restaurants were closed (also at the Villa). The manager offered to look around and drove to pick up pizzas for us and the kids. Purely service minded to help their client. We were almost the only guests that night and it felt that we had the whole place to ourselves. The room was big 2 separate bedrooms and big bathroom. The standard was OK but felt a little bit tired. Being a hotelier myself, (devil is in the details). Overall clean room, comfy beds and towels. But the AC did not work, some lamps was not working either. old furnitures. The whole room felt "tired" and not been taken care of. On a non-busy period it is an easy routine to do a pre-arrival check on the room(s).We slept very well though.Next day, we had breakfast. We could basically orded any hot food we liked. (Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages etc). Coffee, the and juices. With one staff in the kitchen it takes slightly longer to prepare. Luckily we were the only guests in the breakfast area during that time. All in all we are happy with our stay, the manager and team were super friendly and it felt very nice that we could have all social areas etc to ourselves.

Perfect stay in a beautiful Villa.

Deciding to stay at Blue Views’s Villa was the best decision we could have made whilst staying in Cape Town. A charming property with spacious bedrooms and a fabulous living room made it such a fun yet homely house to stay in- plus being a stones throw away from the beach made it beyond perfect. Getting in and out of Cape Town via car or taxi was so quick and with Camp bay only a short walk away made getting around so easy. Would highly suggest to anyone.

Excellent is the only word that can describe our stay at Gourikwa. The proteas were abundant and in full bloom. We really enjoyed the peacefulness and views. We suggest a change in the parking area in front of the villas (Kooigoed) . Rather move the parking lots to the top like those of Noem-Noem.

Awesome holiday apartments & location

Reviewed By Tracy Y

Had a lovely stay with my parents. Accommodation was clean, fresh & amazing views. Ivan, the host, is amazing and always available for requests, suggestions and the two ladies who service the apartments are friendly and eager to help. Was a very nice stay and will definitely be back. Only drawback is the parking - it is quite limited and if you have a big car it's a bit of a squeeze. But this was the only challenge and was manageable. The host, location and views more than made up for it!

The hotel is situated in Gardens where there are a lot of nice restaurants. Although it is close to a bigger street it is really quite. Our room was really clean as well as the common area was. There is free water, coffee and biscuits. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with everything we wanted to know and always assisted us with recommendations. We will definitely come back!
