Reviewed By Michelle CMy family and I have visited Lomas de Caruao 5 times! This is an amazing place where the ocean is right in front of you! You can feel the breeze, just go swimming, relax, go to beautiful water falls, have excellent gourmet meals and be pampered by a super friendly staff. Rooms are cozy and well kept. My children enjoy every trip there. A lot of space to run, play ball and have a blast! It will never be crowed for it has plenty of space for everything. A Great place for adults to relax and children to have fun!

Reviewed By RAAH0407this is a place second to none in terms of the attention, decor, service and committment from its owners and the staff. Where we only went there for lunch (excellent btw), one of the owners took the time to walk us around the compound which will be a jewel on its entirety, once the trees and vegetation grows. It has a littel a bit of everything, but certainly is a ust, for a celebration, corporate meeting, or just for a family or romantic getaway.

Reviewed By Maria CThis is cute little hotel. The hotel staff is attentive and nice. We spent 5 nights in this hotel which has 3 floors. We arrived at night and were assigned a room in the lowest floor (pool level) and were told that there was not availability on the other floor. We could not get a very good night sleep because of car notice from the street and woke up to personnel setting up the furniture in the pool. We complained and immediately moved to the 2ndo floor. It happens that the other floors were being painted/fixed. The rooms faced the pool and had sliding doors that open to a small balcony. The sliding doors don't lock, no on the renovated room nor on the second one. The room door had 2 key locks but only one worked, so a maintenance guy came a fixed the second lock. The elevator does not work so this is not a hotel for people with mobility problems. Also at the time neither the internet (only front desk) not the point of sale works, so to pay for the room we sat by the front desk and pay via Zelle. The breakfast room is quaint. Breakfast is offered orally, and Sra. Maria makes the best empanadas. BTW, on our 3rd and 4th morning Sra. Maria kitchen helper was attending the breakfast tables. On the 4th day he tells me that he was off for the next 2 days which meant please tip me now. I complied by putting $5 on the table. He told me that he shares the tips with Sra. Maria, so I replaced the $5 for a $10, $5 is for you and $5 is for Sra. Maria. Please tell her that the tip comes from me. He assured me he’ll do so. The next day Sra. Maria came to offer me breakfast, so I mentioned her tip. She said she did not know what I was talking about and reassure me that her assistance never mentioned anything to her. I hope managers: Sr. Martinez and Sr. Gonzalez, can train their personnel better in this respect.

Casa Solar, es la segunda posada mas alta de Venezuela, esta ubicada a 3.570 m.s.n.m., temperatura entre 12 y 4 grados centigrados, en lo alto del sector Pena Colorada, enfrente de la maravillosa vista del crucero que abren su paso a las vias hacia Merida, Barinas y Valera teniendo a su pie de montana la poblacion de Apartaderos.

Posada Los Pinos is a friendly guest house with many wood carvings and very creative rooms. Just 10 minutes walking to the centre but very quiet. All rooms have cable TV, fan on the ceiling, fridge, private bathroom with hot water and strong shower. Swimming pool with water slide and small whirlpool. Breakfast and dinner will be served just for our guest, not for public without reservation. Breakfast is buffet style and dinner are starter, main plate and desert. Wifi is free of charge and a computer is available for our guests.

Reviewed By alex_dddUnlike many other posadas and hotels in town, this is more quiet and enjoys more land around it, with a small fountain, a terrace, a small lawn and interesting paintings on the walls. Breakfast was diversified, the overall atmosphere was enjoyable, staff were helpful (changing money, giving directions, storing luggage I did not need when up the Roraima) and the rooms I got (stayed there twice) were fine (having a mosquito repellent with me was helpful). It would be a bit too much when they complete the works on the first floor, basically doubling the number of rooms they now have.
