It’s beautiful and safe. I loved their big garden and so many places to sit and work. It’s very quiet and the stuff is friendly. For those that like taking pictures, this is a place for you. I will definitely stay there again.

Unhappy time

Reviewed By plandm412642

The ceilings have black mould growing on them. The towels are thread bear and have holes. The tiling behind the sink is covered in tooth paste spatter. When the power goes out they have mounted a torch they forgot to charge in the 3 days I was there. They don't have a generator which I am sorry is essential in this time. You will sit in a cold dark room they won't even offer to boil you water to have a cup of tea. The bed and bedding is decent . The bath being in the bedroom is not nice if you have a child with you and it's definitely not nice when it's so cold and there is no door of a formal bathroom to keep some warmth in.

Ecomotel Marlboro

With its close vicinity to the Gautrain as an option to take you to South Africa’s O.R. Tambo International Airport, as well as attractive bars and restaurants, EcoMotel’s Marlboro Motel is never empty. Many choose to stay here due to the affordability and friendly staff. It’s also in a convenient, central location, close to some of the area’s attractions, like first-rate golf courses and some of Johannesburg’s most popular museums. For those interested in seeing the sights, there is no shortage of things to do in the Marlboro area. Some of the most popular places to visit include Modderfontein Park, Beechwood Gardens, Nelson Mandela Square, and the Monte Casino Bird Gardens. Interested in shopping? A visit to Sandton City won’t disappoint: it’s a three-tiered tower with more than 290 stores under one roof!

Surprised by the location and cleanliness of this low cost hotel

Found the hotel by driving past it in Marlboro it’s right next to the Gautrain station and on Marlboro drive near the N3. R350 per night for the room. Yes no food service offered, but you can’t ask for that at this price, there is a KFC right next door. Room is clean neat and tidy, has a small tv with enough stations to make anyone happy for an overnight stop. There is free WiFi which surprised me, and they have a small public space to make tea, get something to eat from a vending machine and chill, and there is guarded parking inside. Yes it’s 2 Star but the location quality and ease of use surpasses that. Well worth it for backpackers, travelers and businesspeople who want location and price. Give it a try.

Arrived on 22 October 2021 with my GIRLS and was booked into a room with no toilet door. The next day the "manager" organized his group of "male" friends to join us for the stay without our invite. Well they started to drink and got drunk and behaved like hooligans including the "manager". Guess what...? the next morning one of his Zimbabwean friends woke decides to wake everyone one up at 6am and tell us to clean up the place as if we work there. I don't think in prison they wake people up to clean. If you are a group of girls and you want to go there...please think twice. #tell the owner.

Manager Maria

We have had nothing but inconvenience that we thought we can overlook till now. When we got here we were given a room with the air conditioning not working, to which we highlighted and then were given an option to go see room 18, which has tiles that are coming off and a floor that feels like it will break, so we ended up settling for room 11. We then come back around 9:45pm after we left around 5:30pm. When we got back we realized there is no toilet tissue, we asked from the guy at reception and still have not gotten it 3 hours later. About 20 minutes ago we had some enter our room because they gave another guest our room key. We had to stop them from entering and now my wife felt unsafe and uncomfortable to sleep cause someone else might just enter. This is an inconvenience we didn't plan for when we booked for this place and now we are told the manager never comes on weekends. The same person who caused this inconvenience is the Manager Maria. Who didn't even get a call from her after we sent her an sms an receptionist called her. By far the worst experience at a hotel.

A Bit Disorganized & Like Living in a Hostel

Reviewed By Therichpeasant

Our large group of relatives book four family suites to sleep after a family wedding close by. When we arrived, one of the suites was still under construction, so the staff had to move some beds into another suite. So, we had to have 7 beds in one suite, sharing a single bathroom. It was like living in a hostel. The suites are clean and beds are comfortable. The kitchenettes are adequate. Security in and out of the facility is good. Our bed and breakfast option was strange, as we had to drive a few miles down the road to a restaurant to have our breakfast. Overall, it was a bit disappointing.
