This was my first experience of this type of retreat and it definitely will not be my last. I was apprehensive about going alone but from the moment I left my shoes at the front door and entered the center I felt totally at ease. Dave and his team are very welcoming and the place is comfortable, spotlessly clean and the vegetarian food is delicious. The yoga studio has a wow factor with its large picturesque windows almost bringing the Burren Hills inside. Our yoga/mediation teacher for the weekend was Eleanor and she was amazing in every way. I met and befriended a lovely group of people and I have returned home feeling totally relaxed and renewed and I would return here without hesitation

Storybook Cottages

Staying at the cottages in March was an amazing experience for our entire family. My husband, teenage son and I were warmly greeted upon arrival by Dearbhaill and her daughter Eleanor. They shared stories about the area and the cottages. The cottages are absolutely storybook! It was so nice to hike during the day at Diamond Hill, then come back to the sweet cottage and build a fire, relax with a bottle of wine and reminisce about our fabulous day touring Ireland. The kitchen is adorable and updated. They had a basket of fresh eggs for us, butter, homemade lemon squares and brown Irish bread in the kitchen. Our stay here could not have been more special and enjoyable! If you stay at a hotel, it is nothing more than that! But when you stay at a very special historic place like Cnoc Suain cottages you learn more about the country of Ireland and the people. My son has been fortunate to travel around Europe at a young age and he gets so much out of our journeys when we have adventures that are unique. He has such a great appreciation for culture, history and architecture and staying at the cottages enriched the experience for him.

Excellent family accommodation

We stayed in a 3 bed villa. On arrival the villa was spotless. Very nice to see hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes included in a supply of cleaning products in the kitchen. Villa has everything you need for a family holiday loads of space for our family of 4 Only suggestion I would have is perhaps a power shower. Water flow in the existing showers is not great. We had chosen Carleton partly because of the wall garden, pool and playground. Sadly due to current restrictions these facilities were unavailable- we had been informed of this in advance and completely understood.

Such lovely owners. Beautiful location. Lodges were spotless with gorgeous local bread and eggs on arrival. And an extra little touch of a barley cake for my Father whose retirement we were celebrating as a family. Lodges were decorated with items sympathies to nature - sheepskin rugs, bamboo bowls and pellet stoves. The ground coffee supplied in the lodge was top class and we are big coffee drinkers. Comfortable beds. We also experienced the infrared sauna and hot tub and loved it. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Family Holiday Stay in Longbowe

We (2 Grandparents, 2 parents and 2 Children) had a lovely week in Longbowe. The House is large and spacious with loads of room for a group of 6 people. It is situated just off a busy road but we didn't notice the sound of traffic at all. There are Supermarkets located reasonably close by and there is a lovely Canal Walk that takes you into the City Centre. Kevin the owner, called to the house on a couple of occasions with fresh eggs and was most helpful with any queries I had. Toby & Hector (the dogs) came to see us every day. We really enjoyed our stay and would have easily rated the house as Excellent and probably said it was the best Holiday Home we have stayed in if it wasn't for very loud Farm work close to the house, starting so early on a couple of mornings (before 6:45am on one morning) which woke the whole house. I'm sure the work was necessary for the owner but definitely took away from our whole experience. To sum up though, we would gladly stay in this house again.
