Reviewed By sunsearcher2006My husband and I stayed in one of these gypsy caravans for a night on our way through to the south of france and did not want to leave! Beautiful secluded setting, lovely helpful hosts, everything you could need and not to mention the fabulous breakfast served each morning. The price was reasonable and they even welcomed our dog. Can't wait to return!

Chalet du Chene is a beautiful oak framed chalet situated on a sunny plateau 20 minutes walk from Morzine centre (or a 3 minute drive). It has 5 beautiful en-suite rooms, including 2 family suites, a fantastic living room with a separate games room, massage suite and bar area. We serve 5 course gourmet meals each night (except Wednesday) along with a daily breakfast and afternoon tea. Open as a fully serviced and catered ski chalet in the winter and catered, self catered or b&b for the rest of the year. Positioned close to slopes and Morzine, free chauffeur service, to Pleney and Super Morzine (3 minutes drive and theres a free bus too). Hot-tub with fabulous mountain views, and off road parking. Enjoy the beauty of the French Alps in style at Chalet du Chene. Open all year.

At last a Chalet that has a fabulous hot tub that is consistently at 40degrees perfect for our aching muscles every night. Fabulous friendly relaxing service in all aspects. Best beds we have slept in and beautiful warm homely decor. We highly recommend Gourmet Ski. Thanks Richard

Reviewed By Jaap1958Archiane is a very special place, at the end of a valley with 270 degree rocks around you ('Cirque d'Archiane'). The Refuge is everything it should be, we decent facilities and (really a bonus) an excellent four-course dinner!

Reviewed By Ragodin86What a nice couple run this place. Its' situation is spectacular overlooking a deep valley and in the distance the mountains of the Auvergne. We had a room in the house not one of the roulottes, shepherd's cabin or the special cabin for viewing the stars. It was comfortable, clean and everything that you need for a few days away. Breakfasts were typical French style with always the possibility of more if you have an exceptional appetite. The cheese fondue was very tasty and even I had to refuse more. The second night that we were there there was a loud fizzling sound and a flash of lightning followed by a very powerful clap of thunder (a little like a bomb going off in your ear) at 01:40 in the morning. The lights stopped working but the power sockets were OK. In the morning turned out that we had been lucky, our hosts had lost their tele, computer and connection to the internet, some others had lost the teles in their rooms.It turned out that the flash of lightning had destroyed two of the four power cables to the house; but they kept smiling and the needs of the clients came first. Highly recommended,go and meet these nice people, their children and all their animals especially their two dogs.

Reviewed By 2rosecottageStayed over one night en route to Provence. Dinner, B&B. We normally stay @ budget hotels, so this was a new departure. Approx. 2km from the road up a long gravel track, des Chatards is set in its own grounds, motel-style apartments & small pool. The proprietor, Nicole, very welcoming and an excellent cook. Dining is communal, we dined with two French couples, joined by a small family (2 adults, 3 young girls) at breakfast. Despite limited language skills on both sides we managed to communicate and practice each other's language quite happily. Great experience & really good value. Recommended.

Old House from 1720, very nice and quiet, completely renovate. You are welcome in this house. Christiane and Michel, born in Cantal will be able to gibe you the best advices to well discover the area. Breakfast are copious and organic. From the garden, you'll discover Aurillac town and all around to 20 kilometers.
Excellent rural accommodation
Reviewed By Piers FThis is a great location above Aurillac with sweeping views. The splendid farmhouse has been well modernised so all rooms have modern ensuite bathrooms. Beds are comfortable and breakfast good with options. We had dinner at Massigoux one evening which was delicious and good value. For the gluten free people Laurence can prepare gluten free food options. Laurence is welcoming, friendly and speaks enough English to communicate well . Don't be shy about trying to speak in French, it is appreciated. If I was in the area I would definitely stay at Massigoux again. If on a cycling trip in the Massif, which I recommend, bikes can be stored in the barn.

Reviewed By lanny lLiving in a beautiful old farm voluptuously decorated and renovated Very spacious and comfortable Bedding is excellent The kids enjoyed the big outdoor swimming pool and the parents the Very close to every attraction : rivers, villages, forests, caves... We enjoyed a lot of sports : canoeing, hiking, swimming, caving... Who loves nature will be glad to spend vacation here and good food and wine and chestnuts... Aircon !!! it is a very hot area with a lot of mosquitos Be careful, the accomodation is upstairs and the upstairs rooms have low ceilings, not easy for tall people Farm far from the road, but heard outdoor Definitely enjoyed our stay and recommend the guesthouse Bruno SO SO NICE and HELPFUL

Reviewed By jjo442Very scenic (and quiet) surroundings. Decoration is a very stylish, mix of modern and rustic. Very friendly and pleasant staff. The food is just unbelievable and quite a few listed restaurants could be rightly envious.
