Excellent Nature spot for peace
Reviewed By TonyStepIt is a very nice place to stay If you like quitness, peace and Outdoor sports in the middle of the Nature of Finnish Lapland. Kiilopää fjell and naturepark right next to your doorstep. Do prepare that the nearest shops are at Saariselkä(10km away) and only a small minimart at the hotel lobby. We loved this place. Much needed nature escape after The busy Life at The City.

I recommend everyone that goes to this area to stay here.. Tasty food, clean rooms and rest rooms and great atmosphere!!!!

Fantastic service and value
Reviewed By andyyo2015All you need and the bet price in what can be a very expensive place to stay. Very helpful owner who stayed up to greet us after a late flight and was friendly and helpful in every respect. We travelled for an Arctic winter race with a bike which was kept safe. No complaints at all about the rooms which were all one would need, clean with a microwave and tv.

Reviewed By elinaaraTodella siisti ja kaunis majoituspaikka. Huone oli viihtyisä ja sänky hyvä. Aamupala oli tasokas. Henkilökunta oli todella mukavaa ja palvelualtista. Miinuksena pieni yhteisessä käytössä oleva wc/suihku, jossa oli suihkun käytön jälkeen mahdotonta käydä kuivin sukin. Äänet myös kuuluivat selvästi käytävästä ja viereisestä huoneesta. Kokonaisuudessaan kuitenkin erinomainen majoitus, voin ehdottomasti suositella!

RukaTonttu apartments are located in a beautiful setting next to lake Talvijarvi. Distance to the nearest lift is 100 meters and 600 meters to Ruka pedestrian village. The apartments are well-equipped with e.g. kitchen, sauna and a fire place and final cleaning and bed linen are included in the price. There is a parking lot area, where each apartment has in use one car heating post. The cosy RukaTonttu restaurant serves next door. Please, notice that this site concerns only RukaTonttu apartments in blocks A, B and C. RukaTonttu hotel/restaurant is located in the next building and is a separate company.
Peaseful location close to everything!
Reviewed By Jonas LWe spent a long weekend at Rukatonttu early February. RukaTonttu is located only a five minute walk from the Ruka center with all restaurants and services. Peacefully located by a lake you can either stay in the hotel or in apartments. We had a very nice, clean and cosy hotel room in the basement with an entrance practically out on the lake. Outside you also have the possibility to swim in the lake around the year (yes it's cold). If you ski the nearest lift is only some 50 meters from the hotel and if Nordic skiing is of interest it can be done on the lake. We will definitely return. Worth mentioning is the very nice personnel managed by the very owner Matti.

Lodge Kuukkeli Teerenpesä is built with an old pine material of Lapland located in a pleasant natural atmosphere in Saariselkä. There are 10 different rooms with own bathrooms. There are two Double rooms, two Small-Twin rooms, and six Twin rooms with own WC and bathroom. Each room have private Sauna turns every day, and also shared times for all the rooms. Lodge is located in the very centre of Saariselkä close to all local services and possible to book other activities. The bus stop near Teerenpesä serves all the buses and also the ski bus, as well as the airport transfers bus.

Reviewed By Exploration505590We had a Christmas dinner at restaurang Teerenpesä and for all of us food and service was fast and good. I took wild mushroom soup as starter and reindeer filet with oven vegetables and both of them were really good! Food for children, hamburgers were good and salads , fish and beef for rest of adults were tasteful? House wine which was recommended was also good. I can recomend this restaurang.

Reviewed By TimUPIWe had a room with 2 single beds, window facing to the parking lot. Bathroom was nice, but hot water took ages to flow. Breakfast was outside and it was nothing exceptional, but the view from the yard to the castle is 5 ?

A lovely little Gasthaus
Reviewed By 895heikkisIf you prefer - whenever possible - nice and distinctive places to stay when travelling (instead of dull or non-affordable hotels), TurusenSaha could very well be your choice in Oulu. It's only a five minute walk to city centre, situated in peaceful & pictoresque Pikisaari island. With just a handful of rooms you don´t need to worry about having to wait for hours at the reception - and you only pay the bill after your breakfast, which was excellent. The couple who run the business are friendly and talkative. Three of the rooms - on the second floor of this beautiful old building - share a large balcony terrace, good for sunbathing (in Northern Finland appr. May - August...). If only the rooms were wheelchair accessible I´d easily give five stars. Downstairs there´s a large room for parties like weddings, birthdays etc., but we were not the least disturbed by the party they had on the evening of our stay there.

Wonderful people - great stay
Reviewed By Martin311Helena and her husband are truly excellent hosts. The food was delicious and homemade, all ingredients came from the garden or the forest. We picked berries and plenty of mushrooms, enjoyed the excursions they organized for us. Highlight was the bear watching, a once in a lifetime experience. I can really recommend a stay.
