A nice hotel off the beaten path

Found this hotel on line and was pleasently surprised. There are a few restaurants near by but downtown Sonoma is a number of blocks away. The rooms were small but comfortable and clean with free wifi. Boyes Blvd which is right behind the hotel felt like a racetrack at night which was loud at times but died down usualy by 10pm. This is a no frills hotel so if you want all the fluff and buff you need to book elsewher but if you want a nice small hotel with a comfortable bed and a clean room this is your place. There wasn't a chest of drawers in our room but there might be in others for we just had a small closet. There was a tv and as I said free wifi. There are two rooms on the second level so if you have trouble climbing stairs you will want to pick a downstairs room since there isn't a elevator.

I have been caring for a family member who had major surgery and the sleepless nights and anxiety began to create tension in my body. It was so good to get to the spa and have a wonderful massage and float in the spring waters. AND the cafe food was so delicious. The day was so healing.

Met by Christian who put our car into valet parking and also carried out bags to the room. The check-in was very welcoming but very speedy. The walk to Suite took us through the incredible landscaping and the various fountains where you hear water as well. The room exceed our expectations from the picture. The next morning on sat on the balcony as it moved from 50 to 70º in the sunshine, tiny breeze, only the occasional truck sound from Broadway, and bird and what a view! Hard to believe we were 3/4 of mile of downtown Sonoma. After we checked in we had lunch. I ordered a hamburger medium-rare closer to rate, and it came out (wait for it!) just exactly what I ordered. We had big fun shopping in Sonoma. Next time we’ll make a Spa reservation months in advance to ensure a couples massage. Our “day of” approach did NOT work out! Had lunch at the El Dorado kitchen since MAP is Wed on and this was a Monday. Yumm!. The one pinch was trying to cast from iPad to the TV. No joy, but no problem. Had a trip at 7:00am to the Coffee place and was expecting BS I find when I travel - warm regular and a decaf and no hot milk. What I got what Anthony and a kick*ss upscale coffee shop. Mama got her latte and I got my cafe au lait. Later I had scrambled eggs, bacon (both just right), an English muffin (a bit cool) and home fries. We headed home later that morning - a whole half hour drive to Petaluma! A great anniversary!

This is a great little inn. Great location just minutes away to downtown. I prefer this place because it was quiet and away from the crowds. We had a wonderful experience here from check-in to check-out. Neeka at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had a patio with a garden view which was wonderful. The garden area had a large water fountain surrounded by lush green trees and plants. Nice continental breakfast included. Pool was open 24/7. Highly recommend this place and will stay here again.

Birthday Getaway

Booked this Inn for my birthday getaway, knowing that it was within a block of the Sonoma Square. The Inn is a nice quaint facility with 5 rooms. Our room had a queen bed, little sitting area with a cafe table set, dresser and closet and bathroom with a shower. Stepping out the back door brought you to an enclosed "garden area" with another cafe table set. Each of the three rooms in our wing of the facility had the enclosed garden. Each morning a tray of fresh pastry, fruit cup, granola and yogurt with a carafe of coffee was delivered to the backdoor for our leisurely consumption. While the facility sits right off the street our room was exceedingly quiet with no noise intrusion from the street. We will be going back for future wine tasting trips to Sonoma Valley.

This Boutique Hotel Gets It Right

Checked into this hotel for the first time for a three-day wedding weekend in Sonoma. At check-in, a welcome glass of champaign was preceded by a warm smile, always the nicest way to start a mini vacation. Got room 4, smallish but with a large balcony overlooking the square. Complimentary coffee and tea in the morning from 6 to 11 am. Ice water available all day and night. Bikes also available for easy pedaling around this quaint (and relatively flat) paradise. The hotel's restaurant is delicious, with a lovely patio for lunch and maybe a warm night and a beautiful inside dining room where I recommend getting a table on the periphery, preferably by the window. The wait staff and hostesses were warm, personable, helpful, seeming to like each other and the menu. The entire staff was great. The women of the cleaning staff who showed up at 6:30 to start their day's work were also very friendly, speaking both Spanish and English and chatting among each other and sharing jokes and laughter before they buckled down to a long, hard day. Basically, this was a bright, clean, quality hotel. Thin walls, soft, squishy pillows are the only drawbacks, but other little details like cold bottled water, a nice variety of snacks in the room more than make up for this, as does proximity to excellent local restaurants (The Girl and The Fig, the Basque Bakery where you must try the raisin-apple muffins - OMG - and so on) ... enjoy the search for for your own favorites, this beautiful, comfortable hotel with the friendly staff will be waiting for you.

I recently stayed at the Sonoma Bungalows May 22-May 28 5 nights during a Bottlerock Festival work trip and was thrilled with Suite 7. The unit was thoughtfully laid out with all details a traveler could need! I was able to cook breakfast for myself, take Zoom meetings at the table, feel safe and comfortable as a solo female traveler while working long hours. I was unable to partake in the other amenities offered such as the fire pit, BBQ or borrowing a bike but plan to return hopefully soon on a work/pleasure trip. Bunky & Cheryl were so pleasant and always available should I need anything. The Bungalows are walking distance to anything you might need and QUIET!
