New hotel that offers everything you need as private or business traveler. High speed internet. At DET GAMLE RADHUS (The OLD TOWN HALL) we serve delicious food in traditional surroundings. We look forward to welcoming you in our restaurant, where we hope you will feel the atmosphere of being set back in time, when grandma was in the kitchen with the family. We have recreated the atmosphere of those days, when classic Danish dishes were created from scratch. The building is worth a visit.
Mixed experience
Reviewed By BartvKConsidering the high price, I expected more from the hotel in terms of service, facilities and food. For this price I would have expected at least a mini-bar and a safe. It is a pity that the office is not staffed. When we complained about the curtains which were not functioning well, it was solved too late (after two days with some lame excuse) and not properly. The breakfast was very basic the first when we were one the few guests. Later on when more guests arrived there were more things to chose from (among which some eggs and more kinds of meat). I would recommend to serve the same breakfast everyday, even if there are only a few guests. However, I have to say that the kitchen took very good care of my wife’s diet. To end with a positive note, we did enjoy our stay at the hotel, the room was comfortable and the birds sang beautifully.

OK but nothing special
Reviewed By GsyGirl_81The hotel feels a little tired and whilst I understood the whole they’ll not be cleaning the room unlesss you ask principle, I was surprised I didn’t notice more cleaning being done in the halls/communal areas. We had a family room which was all set up for our arrival. Beds were comfortable and we had the number of towels needed for us all. Breakfast was disappointing though. The orange juice was really watered down; the scrambled eggs were made lactose free, which whilst great for those who can’t have lactose, meant they tasted weird so we avoided. Staff were all friendly though, especially the lady who cleared the tables at breakfast and the cleaner who we passed in the hall who always had a smile and said hello.

Reviewed By fahu2019We came here 1st time because our friends recommended here .we ordered room service but the foods were very salty then we left the comment when we check out but seem the receptionist they don’t pay attention and ignore.we were just feel that way. And I took such a long time for check out process .

Great surroundings
Reviewed By NemoTravelerWe stayed one night on a road trip to the Southern Jutland and the border region. The hotel is located in a small village with few facilities, Rinkenaes, not far from the town of Graasten. Benniksgaard was originally a farm but the buildings have been transformed into a hotel with a beautiful 18 holes golf course situated with excellent views of the Flensborg Fjord. Our large and modern room was located upstairs in a quiet wing. We noted that stairs were pretty steep, but had little baggage ourselves so this was no issue to us. Our stay included breakfast and a “gastronomic three course dinner”, and apparently most guests had a similar dinner. The food seemed to have been prepared well in advance, making the experience okay, but not as good as expected from the description. Breakfast was very good with several hot and cold choices of good quality. Service at the entire hotel was good, alas a bit overenthusiastic to our taste. Had the dinner been better, I would probably have rated our stay higher.

Calm and quiet place

It was very good.The key was fetched in a small box at the entrance with a keycode you got by Mail before. Rom was very big(room 3) with comfortably beds,tv set and and a boiler with coffee and the.This room have ”hotel quality”. The room is on the second floor and When we was there is was hot 31C but there was a cooler into the room WHO was very effektive. Bathroom is big with shower and 2 sinks.A small problem which I have Was the lamps a the hall at second floor,I hit this lamps at least 10 times Maybe a small problem for most people but a crash of the lamp is not good. No especially facilities,it is a b&b except the big garden with chairs and a good parking. You could take a walk to the sea(300m) to the ”Gendarmiestien” It was close to Sönderborg city(4km). The best is the calm and quiet area. This B&B was above my expectations!

Amazing hospitality, very warm welcome
Reviewed By Davide CWe have been staying with my wife and daughter at Hellesvang B&B on our way back to Sweden from Germany. We arrived at the place in the middle of the night and when we saw the owner, who welcomed us with a warm smile, we were already happy of having chosen this great place. Each room is a mini apartment with a kitchen: a fridge, 2 stoves, microwave and sink and all cooking tools, dishes and glasses and a water boiler. The bathrooms are really new and comfortable as the beds are. Great green areas and playground for kids. It has been the best B&B found in Denmark and its owners are even more special. We will definitely come back and we recommend it 200% to anyone visiting this beautiful area.

Beds are comfortable and pillows soft for good nights sleep, breakfast has nice and delicious pancakes ? and delicious orange juice ? (and I mean juice, not something made out from concentrate powder and doesn’t taste of anything), there is mini golf⛳️ , small zoo ?and giant chessboard ♟! Recommend for families with kids as they will enjoy the football ⚽️ field, playground with trampoline and the cute animals ? while parents sit at nearby table outside and enjoy a nice glass of wine?!
