Great Stop for a Bite to Eat in Slavonice
Reviewed By Stefan PMy girlfriend and I stopped for dinner at the restaurant on the ground level of Hotel Arkada. Prices were very reasonable for the various menu items. Service was great and everything came out quickly. Meals were properly cooked, full of flavor, and seemingly fresh ingredients. The beer was cold and much appreciated on such a hot summer evening. Would definitely recommend if you’re in Slavonice and looking for a great bite to eat!

Wonderful Hotel w/Kitchenette
Reviewed By swoodrufThis was a wonderful little hotel with a very nice host. My room was lovely - it even had a small little kitchenette. There is a restaurant and wine cellar in this hotel. Great bathroom with nice shower. Loved the little hotel. Very reasonable laundry service.

Reviewed By Marie MExperience true history by staying here! - the rooms are refurbished maintaining the original aspects decorated with gorgeous antique furniture. We had a lovely apartment facing the courtyard which was exceptionally quiet, the kitchenette including a minibar! is in a separate room that was very cozy and perfect for our doggy to relax in. Very clean and the bathroom is spacious enough with great water pressure. The location is perfect, close to various restaurants and within walking distance to all sights in Slavonice. Also within easy driving distance to Telc, Castle Landstejn and Mariz- known for it's pottery factory. The landlady was very prompt to meet us and very kind - in all highly recommended!!!

The board at the front of the hotel offers ‘fish specialties’ but that’s a lie, if you’re a guest at the ‘hotel’ you get a ‘buffet’ which is a selection of about 3 very poorly-cooked meals. The hotel rooms obviously haven’t been cleaned since the hotel first opened - we found an old bar of soap in our shower. The hotel seems to be run by a bunch of teenagers who don’t seem to care how bad and run-down it gets. The service is also very slow, and the breakfast is almost as unappealing as the dinner.

ok accom but could be better
Reviewed By steve kwe booked for 3 nights but stayed only 2 due to there not being much to do locally unless you wanted to bike and take long walks in the forest, room was clean and tidy but communal kitchen was not kept the same and old food left in cupboards by owner, who is a lovely lady and tries her best to accommodate you but attention to detail lacking. however the place was relatively cheap and easy to find, if you want reasonable basic accom then this place will do fine.

Amazing house but not amazing accommodation
Reviewed By ParisianAgnesThat pension is located in one of the oldest houses in the street. A beautiful house. Inside it is like a tiny museum with many old items (clothing, hat makers stuff, fabric makers, etc.). There is also an amazing room behind an old wall with paintings in an amazing condition that the owner (who does not speak English but tries) showed me about the apocalypse and such. Great historical house, better suited for a museum. Concerning the accommodation, the room was tiny (and clean), I had only a short summer comforter and it was cold despite the old smelly heater, bathroom was ok. I had to dress up to sleep as with the small comforter it was either get my feet cold or my shoulders. Bed was old and it felt like it. Free wifi but not tv. It is easy to park as there is a big garden behind the house that is used as a parking. Breakfast is not served there, you have to go to another hotel/restaurant 20 metres away (that serves great crêpes).

Charming, quirky country hotel outside of Slavonice
Reviewed By erntravelsWe spent two nights at this country hotel on an OAT tour in room 5. The medium-sized room had a double bed, small table with two chairs, wardrobe with 8 real hangers and safe, fridge, TV (which we did not use), coffee/tea maker, and two luggage racks (thank you!!). There were hooks for our windbreakers. Unlike other hotels on this trip, there was LOTS of light. Wifi was very good. The small bathroom had a shower with excellent hot water, a towel heater (not in operation during the summer season), two medium and two large towels, liquid soap, shampoo, and lotion. The window opened onto the back parking lot and further "zoo" with various animals. It was quiet at night. Breakfast was the usual substantial one. On the last morning, the owner fixed scrambled ostrich eggs as he had an ostrich on his "farm/zoo." We had dinner there on the second night which included his wines and a local quartet of musicians playing a variety of music. For us, the dining experience was much too noisy, but the other travelers seemed to enjoy the music and the noise. This inn is too far from Slavonice to walk there but the owner has another hotel in the center of town which is where his extensive wine cellar is also located. The owner is especially hospitable.
